Is it just me, or is trying to use a makarov to kill another person a very bad idea? In two firefights, I unloaded a full clip into the enemy without them dying. I always ended up being killed when I had to reload. I guess you can say my accuracy is just bad or whatnot, but I have plenty of shooter game experience. :\
Also, a quick question: is there an accuracy difference between shooting from first-person or third-person? As far as I know, there are four types of shooting modes: first-person, third-person, down the sights first-person, down the sights starting from third-person.
It's kind of annoying when I'm lying prone in third-person and I aim my green crosshairs at a zombie's chest, but I don't seem to be able to hit him. Then, when I switch into first-person, I find out that I was aiming at the space between its legs. |

| The makarov has a really short effective range (something like 50m iirc), and also use gun sights as much as possible for best accuracy - it doesn't matter if you use gun sights from 1st/3rd person. |

Yes in third person the aim point is slightly offset, its always best to switch to first person.
As for the makarov, I find it best to simply walk up to them and put the whole clip in their head. |

I saw a guy lying prone in a house I was just outside of, and I unloaded a clip into his body, but he didn't die ><

Ah, so even if I am aiming down the sights, it matters if I started in first or third person huh? Good thing to remember. Do you know how the aim is offset?

| Well so far as I have experienced and heard from others, the aim is offset in the out of iron sights mode in third person. I guess if you use iron sights in 3rd person it should be accurate. |

| Makarovs tend to not insta kill but cause them to bleed out. Tbh I'd just unload the 8 rounds and RUN while they bleed out. |

I was on my 4th life, with about 3 hours of total game time experience. In this life, I had just spawned 10 minutes ago into a rainy dusk on the Southern shore.
On the docks of Elektro, I noticed that all the zombies were dead. Walking around a building, I heard the deafening buzz of flies. Where could the body be? Amidst the zombie bodies on the floor, I tried to find the corpse of a survivor, but to no avail.
I noticed that there was a ladder leading up to the roof of the building. Climbing up, I wondered if the sound of the flies could be coming from up there. When I was almost at the top, however, I froze. In third-person, I could see that there was already someone on the roof of the building, and he was aiming his pistol at the top of the ladder. If I had been more careless, I would have died right there.
Freezing on the ladder in shock, I didn't know what to do.
"Friendly," I said. "Please, friendly."
My policy is this: I always try to communicate peace in non-sudden encounters. In this case, I was on the ladder, so I couldn't have shot him anyway. If the opposing person returns a sign of friendliness, I try to trust them. However, if there is no response, or if the encounter was unexpected, I shoot on sight.
He didn't reply. In fact, he disappeared. Thinking that he had disconnected, I climbed up the roof. That was when I saw the body. Lying on the floor, previously blocked by the camera, was a prone human figure.
Oh, I thought, this is the source of the flies.
But then he moved.
I didn't think--I reacted. Firing three shots, I stopped him cold. What the hell was that? Before I could wrap my mind around what had happened, he moved again! This time, I unloaded the rest of my Makarov rounds into his torso. I wasn't taking any chances.
What had happened to the original body? Who was this guy? As it turns out, the guy I had killed was the same person who was aiming at the top of the ladder. In death, he communicated through chat, accusing me of professing friendliness, yet firing on him when he easily could have killed me while I was defenseless. He claimed to have responded friendliness, but I didn't see it at all.
Perhaps such backstabbing is normal behavior for bandits, but not me. I'm a survivor, not a heartless killer. I was overridden with guilt.
The guy was carrying two assault rifles, an ALICE backpack, and 11 blood bags, among other goods. Through chat, he asked me to stay on the roof so that he could come back and reclaim his gear (I had communicated my apologies).
"No grudge," he said. "Just give me the compass. That shit was hard to find."
I wanted to comply. It would have relieved me of the guilt.
No grudge.... No--I couldn't risk it. I have to live with my guilt, because I have to survive.
I dropped the compass on the roof, and disconnected.

You don't need a toolbox to repair vehicles, just the pieces themselves.
I know I said I wouldn't put any more of my videos, but I have two that are quite interesting. The first is a huge firefight we ran into at the NWAF. Anywhere from 6 to 10 people were apparently having a party of some sort when we saw them. We opened up from the west side with 3 M4's and an m16 from near the northern barracks all at the same time. It was insane. Eventually, all 4 of us died but we took down 5 people.

The second video is quite long.. simply go to the 3 hour and 20 minute mark to see the a brutal murder take place. Three of us were entering vybor when someone came upon us. We got near each other and started talking on direct comms via voip (chat was disabled on that server). He was friendly.. I ask him to leave, but he apparently wants to tag along. I still feel quite bad as I knew this would happen but he didn't leave when I asked.

Do you mind sharing your video settings? I've been having difficulties getting everything set up nicely, plus I like your FOV.

| Hey guys, you know how there is a symbol for a face on the right side of the screen? What is that, exactly? I think it has to do with whether your a bandit or something, but can someone tell me how the symbol changes in reaction to what you do? |
