IM coach will throw the 1st 2 games so their late game imbaness is justified.

He's also the manager for the team.
Best Coach/Manager in Sc2.
BTW, to those crying about partnerships and whatnot, do you know how expensive it is to get a foreign team in Korea just to practice for the GSTL? Partnerships are a cheap and easy way to get foreign teams some representation in Korean team events, and the same for Koreans playing in other countries. |

You're absolutely right. SK seem like cheapskates, simply buying out a champion, and skimping on an actual 'team'. This way they don't need a teamhouse, don't need to grow players, and only pay 1 ticket. This time they even manage to attach their name alongside IM by loaning 1 player. Come on now...
It was even worse before, when they were simply "partnering" with oGs, honestly just invest in a team already. |

It's just a true shame to see a team that used to be one of the best in Korea (and consequently one of the best in the world) gone.
And yeah, MC/Nestea/MVP is clearly imbalanced, and blizzard needs to nerf all of the races. |

Before you get excited but check out MC's w/l as oGs closer. I think he will be first pick to try to get an early kill but leave the hard stuff to MVP.

This, and the walk overs have me a little upset. How many teams can partner up together? I just don't understand that really, it's pretty stupid. I also don't get why their giving walk overs 11 days before the matches begin, find a new team to replace OGS?
Oddly enough, this has me more upset than excited, lol.

MVP probably wont even play in GSTL to be honest. With his wrists, I expect him to take a break after GSL Finals. |

I'm pretty sure that has more to do with quality of their players and their (mostly individual) accomplishments, and not so much with the coaching decisions in GSTL. |

| Just because they have three Aces doesn't mean all three of them will be used in every single team match. Sometimes, the team will want to invest into newer/upcoming players and give them a TV match. Also, the team may want to use a "lesser" player as a specific sniper/matchup specialist. Also, the Ace players may need to practice for their individual leagues, or isn't in shape that particularly week. Look at Broodwar's proleague in the past, and you will see that newer and "lesser" players on the A-Team roster gets played quite a bit over the superstars. That said, MC makes IM's roster really damn scary. |

Find a new team? What team can they just find? All the Korean teams are there + TL and Fnatic. And you act like 11 days is a long time to find a new team to commit to a long term league that will prevent them from playing foreign tournaments as well.
Think people.

Don't get me wrong, I think he's done a fantastic job for IM for the most part.
I just find his decisions when picking a lineup questionable. |

11 days is a fair amount of time, but you have a point since there is no teams left in Korea to play(i think). Still though, with rumors of OGS going under, I'd have expected different. Last edit: 2012-05-17 18:21:31 |

11 days is not a fair amount of time when you consider the magnitude of team that they have to replace. Your point of there being no teams left in Korea is a good one. So if you focus on foreign teams, you're talking about relocating at least 5 of their players and additional funding for housing and such. I share your disappointment with oGs being a walkover but I don't think there is much we can do about it. |
