Epic Games Night 3
What is Epic Games Night?
Epic Games night is a night of casual and competitive gaming hosted by the Computer Science Students Association of the ANU in Canberra once a semester. This year we plan to have all those and more and are including a BYOC Starcraft II tournament and Starcraft: BW tournament. Other board and video games that will be at EGN are listed on the website.
There will be pizza available @ $5/pizza.
Where?
Epic Games Night will be held in the CSIT building on the ANU campus.
CSIT is Building 108 on the map
When?
May 25th 2012 6am GMT[local]
Requirements for entryinto the tournament:
- Presence at the games night
- $5 entry or membership of the CSSA
- A computer with SC:BW installed
- For BW, maps installed
*Membership costs $5, grants entry to other CSSA events, covers all of 2012, and is available to non-ANU students.
Tournament Format
Bo3 informal round robin style to accommodate other tournaments
Map Pool
Maps for each round TBA.
Prize pool:
Prize: KR/TW SC2 account OR Turtle Beach P11 headset (suitable for PC, Mac and PS3) went to Twelve who chose the KR/TW account
Sign Up
Post your username and race in the thread, PM those details to me at this account, or e-mail them to u4667679@anu.edu.au, or show up before 16:30 AEST on the day. Tournament matches will begin at 17:00. Post your highest rank for any ladder season if applicable.
Stream
Unless someone volunteers to stream the BW tournament, this event will not be streamed/
If anyone who will be in Canberra at the time would like to stream, and cast or obs some matches of the tournament, PM me.

Edit: Screw it. BW too cool. Mouse pad is now 2nd prize and 1st is winner's choice of a KR/TW account in SC2 or a headset of similar value.

Bronze level players are totally welcome to play. There are a few Masters coming, but there are also quite a few from Bronze-Gold. And some of the BW players haven't played for years or are new to it.
Even if you decide not to compete, you should totally play some casual games/check out the rest of the night/learn to play Chess-Pong.  |
