Come test your trading skills with me! We will play from May 24 (tomorrow) until the end of trading day on June 29th.
We will each start with $100,000 - all symbols available. New players can join once we've started. Also note that if you do after hours trading (tonight May 23) you wont buy until tomorrow (because the game hasn't started yet :o !)
I started screwing around last night and managed to buy some Dell before it took a giant shit this morning....so yes, all skill levels welcome! This thread will be for discussing strategy, complaining about getting wrecked, and bragging about how good you are at short selling.
Why?
Because its a good skill to learn for when you become rich and decide to stick your childrens' education fund into the market. Also there's a bunch of smart dudes on TL who can probably teach us a few things about trading

The last time I did this, someone just abused the delay between the real market and the one via these sites to buy and sell fast. Is that still a problem?
Also: invest 100% into Caterpillar.

Ok I decided what the heck and took a look. It doesn't let you apply conditions such as 'buy the next time stock X goes below 5 dollars a share'. It also doesn't let you buy stocks below 2 dollars a share.
Given this, I am using my position on marketwatch as an insurance policy: if activision-blizzard goes down in flames in the next month, at least I will get a high ranking in this game! (I am 100% short atvi for the entire account worth) |

Well, there's a set-value for gems already given you have to pay 30k to 50k to make them (+3 more of the previous gems, which are gaining a declining price).
Both crafting reagents and gems are pointless, weapons, necklaces/rings are where the money is at. |
