| Sorry if this has been answered before but now that proleague players are playing SCII, can they participate in GSL? I'm guessing no for whatever reason but.. |

Mr Chae said whenever they want to enter they're welcome to so it's entirely up to the players, or more likely the teams, themselves. |

Have you been watching them in their normal proleague tournaments (they now have both BW and SC2 games)?
You can answer that question for yourself, already!
I think the answer so far is: Right now, they're nowhere near the level of the top tier SC2 progamers, but that may be because they're practicing for both games and so if they have a few more months of just SC2 training, then they may really start to impress us.
That's my opinion, anyway. |

| Does anyone know how the deals with Kespa work? Will we be able to see their players compete with current SC2 pros? I'd really like to see how they hold up now vs people who have been playing for a while. And then again in 6 months to a year and see how much they improve. |

Well the way I see it is that they are going to play amongst themselves in an exhibition showmatch, and not vs current SC2 pros. You just have to watch PL to see how they would fare vs SC2 pros : they would get dismantled. |

Especially the bw zergs because you just can't really play aggressive zerg in SC2 (at least not the same way in bw anyway)
You probably will be able to when maps are designed properly and are larger.
The last thing we need is even larger maps. |

All as predicted; I considered Leta instead of Effort - but frankly, I think Effort would have been the better choice both as a legend and as SC2 transition. But of course, Leta is a great guy, hope he'll make MLG even more entertaining.

The entire purpose of this BW Tournament is to hype up even more the SC2 PL and the kespa-MLG partnership.
They want the dull, ignorant and clueless people to think "OMG FLASH VS JAEDONG SO GOOD WTFOMG JIZZ IN MY PANTS MY BODY IS NOT READY" and not "Oh god..Flash just got rolled by a codeB no namer and Jaedong got anally raped by Socke".
It would be against their interests to send BW pros in the open Bracket, because they would get utterly destroyed and it would lessen the hype by a great amount.
They want them to play against themselves so that the viewers can't properly tell their level of skill compared to the codeS level of play, and soon people will start nonsense like "omg did you see that Flash timing vs Soulkey? Could totally beat DRG with it"Last edit: 2012-06-01 15:39:19 |
