It is the year 170. China was divide into three Three Kingdom, Wei, Shu, and Wu. Many warlords wished to dominate, unite and control China. Cao Cao was one of them. He was a brilliant tactician and a master in the art of war. In the battle on Xuchang, Yuan Shao who had 100,000 troops against Cao Cao's 20,000, a ratio of 5 to 1. Yuan Shao even with overwhelming numbers could not defeat Cao Cao. The battle went to a stalemate and came to a conclusion when Cao Cao manage to destory Yuan Shao's army supply. He went on to control all of Northern China. Cao Cao was also a cunning, cruel and ruthless man. Cao Cao had killed his own subordinates, his family and his enemies family, massacre millions in order to achieve his goal. Nothing matters except his ambition.
Lu Bu was the most fear warrior and known as the strongest warrior of its time. He was a master in combat and cavalry. At Hulao Pass, he managed to hold against Fang Yue, Mu Shun, Gongsun Zan, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu and Liu Bei. They were no match but Lu Bu had to retreat eventually because his opponent had more numbers. He was also a man of passion. For the sake of his love one, Diao Chan, he killed Dong Zhou(His master). He also loved his family. Even when he was defeated in battle, he would not abandon his family.
There can only be one ruler in China. Cao Cao began to make preparation to defeat Lu Bu. Lu Bu defeated Liu Bei at Xiapi causing Liu Bei to join Cao Cao. Then Cao Cao supply Liu Bei with supplies to allow him to try to take back Xiapi. Liu Bei then besiege Xiapi for months and wait for Cao Cao's force to arrive so they can retake Xiapi. Lu Bu, with his soliders low on moral and subjects defecting to Cao Cao, were force to surrender. Lu Bu then swore allegiance to Cao Cao but due to Liu Bei's manipulation. Cao Cao had Lu Bu hanged.
It is the year 1939. Tensions between France and Germany are at all time high due to Nationalism, failure of The League of Nations, Treaty of Versailles, and the policy of Appeasement. War between these two countries was inevitable.
France, a country once was consider superpower, was unprepared for the war. During this period, France's government was in turmoil. France was still recovering from the heavy economic costs as well as human costs from World War One. Germany had almost double of France's population during this period. The military itself had the equipments to fight the war but lack organization. Only thing France had going for them was England being its ally.
Germany, the loser of World War One, resented the treaty of Versailles which essentially put all blame of War on Germany. Germany was prepare for war. It was secretly building up arms and arming its forces.
In 1940, Germany invaded France and defeated France in matter of days. France thought Germany would attack from the Maginot Line, a heavy static defense area. France believed they would be fighting in a war similar to World War One and focused on defense but Germany was ready to show the world a new style of warfare, the Blitzkrieg, a lighting speed attack that overwhelm its opponent causing its opponent to lose control and unable to respond effectively. Germany also trick the France into thinking they are attacking from the Maginot Line but in reality they are attacking from a different area, France unable to respond and lost the war. France then fled to Britain and Britain went to find a another man('Murica?).
It is Cosmic Era Year 71.Due to Bloody Valentine Tragedy, war erupted between Earth Alliance and ZAFT forces. Kira Yamato was the best Gundam pilot of its time. His skill was unmatched. He had extremely high mental and physical abilities. He can analyzed the battle field instantly and able to pin points the weaknesses of his opponent s in a split second. Even though he does not like war, he end up getting drag into the war because he wished to protect his friends. Kira with his charm was able to make Lacus Clyne(Athrun's fiance) to ditch Athrun and loved him and him only.
Athrun Zala, he entered the war because he lost his mother in the Bloody Valentine Tragedy, he vowed to destroyed the Earth Alliance. He went through preparatory school and was in elite squad in ZAFT military. His skills rivals Kira Yamato but due to his indecisiveness toward war, he often does not fight with his true strength. Upon realizing Kira stole his fiance, he later went to charm Kira's sister Cagalli Yula.
In the midst of battle in the Pacific Ocean, Kira killed one of Athrun's most trusted friend. Enraged by his friend's death, Athrun challenged Kira to a duel. The fight went on for hours with no end in sight. In the midst of battle, one of Kira friend wanted to helped him but was killed by Athrun. Kira lost control and let rage engulf him. Kira entered Seed Mode(HAX Mode) but little did he know Athrun can also enter Seed Mode. In the end, Athrun self destructed his Gundam Aegis destorying Strike Gundam and killed Kira.
*Later on Lacus Clyne with her imbalance power revive Kira.
EssBee Vs Obelisco
It is the year 2012. EssBee met Obelisco once again but this time, they are fighting for supremacy. Which one of them deserve to be call the best and deserve to command the Terran force in a fight against the mightly protoss and the unstoppable Zerg?
EssBee is a benevolent terran with a fighting spirit like no other. After being down 2-0 by Shuruken who is favorite to win the tournament, he manage reverse killed Shuruken by gaining 3 straight wins. After 2-2, he analyze his situation and by learning his opponent's tendency to cheese, he was able to predict the final game's 5 pool and react according, gaining a decisively victory over Shuruken. He's also a terran of modesty. He had beaten obelisco before in group stage easily and he know he can beat him again. He probably already predicated the flow of the games and planning his victory move and victory ceremony already. However in his interview, when confronted with his opinion on final vs obelisco, he simply stated he will not take him lightly. EssBee knows he is favorite to win the tournment.
Obelisco is a tyrant who not only excels at terran but also at protoss. He realized if he play protoss against EssBee, it would be too easy. He wants not only defeat EssBee physically, he also wants to beat him emotionally. What better way to do that than to play Terran and beat him using his own race, so EssBee cannot cry imbalance. His opponent Babo knows he cannot beat him straight up so he tried to play mind games by mind controlling Obelisco's units but Obelisco was unimpressed with his mind games and proceed to stomp him like the noob that he is. He purposely lose 2 games to Babo to give him hope that he could win. He crushed Babo's hope in the final game, destroying him mentally. He will bring the same pain to EssBee.

I would not agree to with to say that Athrun is Kira's sidekick. From watching Gundam Seed, I never get the feel that Athrun is Kira's sidekick. It's just matters of opinions I guess. I had read Gundam seed threads before and never once anyone mention Athrun is a sidekick so naturally that never occur to me. I still don't see him being a sidekick but I know how he can be view as one.

Did you watch GSD? GSD is shit, but thats the one where Athrun comes back from the dead as Kira's side-kick. Unlike how he turns out in GSD, hes actually a character in GS.

Is it possible to have played the third place finals tomorrow at 17:00 CEST? the streams would start at 19:00 CEST instead of the usual 21:00. Sunday stream at 21:00 CEST
On a related note season2 is going to kick-off june Juin 9. I will post the thread next week after the finals are over.
