Find a "One Room" then, everything is included: bed, internet, bathroom, kitchen, etc. It's a bit bigger and more confortable than a goshitel. I pay mine 300.000KRW/month + electricity and gas bills.
How did you find a one room for only 300,000 won a month? What neighborhood?Last edit: 2012-06-16 07:38:57 |

Incheon, near INHA dae hu-mun. Prices here are between 200.000 and 400.000 per month for the one rooms. It's cheaper than in Seoul I guess.

How's the mold? Noise? Heating/Air Conditioning? For a price like that, there's gotta be some big problem... |

I have air conditioning, heating, bathroom, washing machine, fridge, gaz kitchen, internet, a bed. Everything seems normal to me. And the neighborhood is not really noisy. I have some molds in my bathroom from time to time, nothing big anyway, and I treat them with pure Javel every two months and it's ok ... But I had to make a 2 million deposit. Even if I will get it back in the end, maybe that's why it's not expensive. Every one rooms in my area have similar prices than mine. It is indeed true that some of them have obvious problems, I visited some very messy places before finding mine, but you can find something very decent for a reasonable price in Incheon.Last edit: 2012-06-17 11:19:46 |

I've already made sure that I have the day off for the OSL finals. Does anyone know where exactly it will be at or how exactly one has to go about getting tickets? Do you generally need to get tickets early or can you just walk in?
And if anyone else is interested in going I would be down for meeting up. |

^ iirc, you just go there early to get seats. General admission. It's at COEX which is a huge mall in Seoul. I'm arriving in Seoul on the 25th of June. I'll be there for the finals too!

@dgsdm : Within the range of price that you gave you should easily find something. Find someone speaking both Korean and English (a colleague, a friend, a nice Korean guy from TL, whatever ) and go to a 부동산 (pronounced : budongsan. it's the local real estate agency). Honnestly it is not difficult to find a housing in Korea, in the worst case take a motel for 2 or 3 days, so you will have time to visit several places. That's what I did when I first arrived to Korea, I found a housing in 2 days.
Anyway is someone up for GSTL Saturday afternoon, or Proleague on Sunday afternoon ? |

Hey guys I am going to China here in July, and when returning i plan on working my ass off saving up for a longer stay in Korea. I was wondering if there are any nice korean/english speaking TL'ers that would also help me out when the time comes? I really like the idea of meeting up with TL'ers and have some cool days/nights in Korea. Also, i'm fairly fluent in english
TL;DR - Is there any forum/other where i could get in contact with fellow TL'ers interested in going to Korea/that are in Korea? |

Thanks for the info (: you're right about how it's not that difficult to find housing in Korea. The problem is I'm too picky -__-
I'm going to try to make it to tomorrow's meet, see you guys there! (hopefully) |
