Who: L_Master

When: I will be trying to cast at least one set of games per week, though I can't guarantee that I always will be able to do so between work/school/life/etc. I will announce in this thread when I am casting.

Why: To help make sure their is available english commentary for those trying to learn BW or just try to understand a little better what is going on and what to watch for.

The biggest question I want to know from you all is what do you want to see from the casts. I will give as much insight as possible, however I am not by any means a super gosu player so I won't be able to give in depth analysis of specifics of play. What I am wondering is would you rather I specifically cast the games, or also use some of the time to explain things like what to look for when watching BW, how the game generally plays out, basic MU summaries, etc.

Unfortunately I really haven't had much time to play, or watch, SC2 so my game knowledge is awful there. As a result I don't think I will cast the SC2 side of things, though I may try to bring some people on to help co-cast for the SC2 portion of things.

Then why post this on the SC2 section if you are not going to cast the SC2 side of things?

I mean I appreciate your work but I feel this should have gone in the BW section...

So if this is exclusively related to the BW side of the proleague, shouldn't it be in the BW forum? It seems flamebaitish to post BW-only content in the SC2 forum while this internal gang-war of sorts is coming to its climax.

That said, I do appreciate you trying to provide us with cool BW content. Don't mistaken my former statement for disrespect. You're pretty cool <3. Just need to avoid community clashing.

Yes. This should definitely be in the BW section. You're literally only casting the BW section in a hybrid league.

Yea, this was my logic. Most of the hardcore BW fanbase is used to watching the game and by and large prefers listen to the casts with the Korean commentators. The people most likely to be interested in it are SC2 players that are now tuning in to PL and aren't familiar with BW and I figured they would be more likely to come across it in the SC2 section as opposed to the BW one.

Obviously, if the mods feel it is better suited to the BW section that is great as well; this just seemed the more appropriate fit to me off the top of my head given the target demographic and the fact that PL is now a joint game league (plus the possibility I will get people to cast SC2 with me).

Some of my logic is above, but also because I'm going to try and have people to cast the SC2 as well with me so that ultimately we get both covered. But it's not a guarantee so I didn't want to say for sure their is SC2 casting in the OP when that can't be assured. I mean I could cast it to guarantee it but.....

Well, seems like based on the poll the verdict is going to be casting, with an emphasis of being explanatory about how BW works, what to watch for while viewing, etc.

I'll obviously talk and focus 100% on the game at hand for key points, and then during breaks or "downtime" in games I'll throw in stuff about what to look for in the game, the players themselves, the teams, etc.

Looks like I will be joined by Ophidian and IINcheezehead tonight and they will be casting some of the SC2. So for tonight there is both broodwar AND sc2 casts!
