There is a huge tournament going on these weekend. Huge not only in prize pool but how important it is to succeed. RedBull is a sponsor that alone can fund special sports. I cant emphasize enough how important this tournament is.
And it recieved zero coverage by Teamliquid since May 19. No related articles can be found at the news section. No frontpage feature to raise awareness.
The only coverage TL has is  Red Bull Battlegrounds which is not easy to find at all (as not a single click from the front page).
Is MLG the only important event out there now? Do tournaments now have to pay TL to recieve coverage? Its in TL's best interest that Esports grows and i dont see this reflecting from the sites actions.
RedBull now has 32 k (porbably 25k unique) viewers total. It could have been much higher. There are a lot of people who only read TL once a week and dont visit Reddit at all thus might not even know that this tournament exists.
TL has a huge role in growing Ss2 so i hope you guys pull it together or it might be the first sign that the lack of real competition in 'fansites' is hurting the scene. |

Yeah, I agree. There are a lot of tweets abouts this tournament on Twitter (https://twitter.com/#!/TeamLiquidPro) but nothing on the frontpage. I don't demand a long preview post like for MLG or GSL but at least some short text would be nice.

If you mean the 5x5 pixel large symbol next to the stream, yeah I'm sure a lot of people will click on this symbol...

Eh I mean, every major tourney should be front page featured I would agree. To be honest the only reason I'm not that upset is because I don't really like supporting day9, but the OP imo is correct in that TL could cover the major tournies a little bit better in terms of spreading awareness. |

There's a lot of tournaments. There was an announcement here, an extended preview here, and this is Day 1 so it's too early for there to be a recap thread in the news. There is also a live report thread as you would expect here. It's not physically possible to have truckloads of A+ content for all the tournaments there are. You can always volunteer and come up with your own thread if you feel something needs covered.
Also to your point, I don't use Reddit but I think a lot more people have come into Starcraft because of Reddit, so as far as awareness goes I don't think anyone on this website is culpable. As I said, there was an announcement in April.Last edit: 2012-05-27 08:15:33 |

The problem is not that its impossible to find it now. The problem is that it hasnt been covered 1-3 days before the event. So many ppl could have missed it and planned their weekend differently. Not everyone watching sc2 visits TL every day and not everyone sits on Reddit 24/7 ... Its a 40k++ tournament....
Good thing there are VODs.
