Good idea would be to make a SC2 channel on the server you are going to do it on as well say for example "SC2prac" so people can join that, and see who is on-line, also the Skype idea is really good to.
You should edit the B.Net channel, and Skype into the OP because some people prefer to watch how the group converses before joining in, they want to know that they will be welcomed, and that it will be fun. you will get more people interested then.

What I am thinking of doing now is setting up AM, EU, and Asia groups if there is interest. It should be easy enough to coordinate through steam. |

And this is just my idea, if there are so many willing participants we can do various bo 3/5 against other players and instructors can try and catch a few games? or just have a large practice session where people can find and improve certain MUs, builds, etc. |

For sure. I think the key to this succeeding will be staying flexible. We will set a fixed time and place. Then determine how to go about the practice at the time of the practice based on who ends up showing. Some times we can break into smaller groups, some times go with a larger session, or something different. |
