Give the Sponsors some love, To Red Bull.

Message sent. I'm glad Red Bull made this venture and I hope to encourage them to do it again.

I know the numbers are not out (and probably never will be released) but it is likely the expense for this tournament was not as much as many are saying. Tickets were sold to people in the venue. The stream ads generated a lot of revenue. Re-views of the tourney will generate more. It is possible this even could even make Red Bull (and more likely Day[9]) some money (maybe not a lot). So when all the numbers are in, the advertising may just be icing on the cake.

I don't drink energy drinks. Hate to be that guy but I'm wired all the time cuz I eat right and exercise (run) so I dont need these overpriced & bad for you drinks.

i loved the tourney too, especially the instant upload of replays (unlike mlg zzzzzzzzzz spring arena 1 where dongraegu won still isnt released, spring arena 2 also) but when i went to grocery near here i didnt see any red bull. i will keep an eye out

Gratz to them, but my concern is...are these events really proffitable for the event organizers and sponsors ? If so, can some1 explain me how ? ^^ Saw below 20k viewers and the hall which was not full of live spectators.

Nobody can really say for sure, but if Red Bull hosts more LANs then that's probably a positive sign. If not then there just wont be anymore LANs by them. You wont really hear about it, but the absence will be telling.

But you know, it's not like anyone cares about THAT. Nope, we only write to sponsors when we want someone to get axed... *cough*

I'm from the tiny European country of Malta, so the broadcasting schedule for the Red Bull Battlegrounds held last weekend in Austin, pretty much directly clashed with my sleeping schedule, but it was so amazing that I stayed up watching it till 4A.M. on both days!
