During the early beta phases up to the close release of Diablo 3, most polls regarding peoples desired main class were pretty even, with Barb, Wizard and Demon Hunter usually trading places every so often at the top. Now that people have had a chance to test out their favoured class to a higher level, I'm interested to see how the tides have changed over these past few weeks and how even the ratio amongst the various class' are.
I won't leave any personal opinions in the OP as it might weigh the results, but a lot of people have definitely been seeking a new class since the release due to certain balance aspects of each class. There haven't been many, but the balances changes that have hit so far, hit pretty hard, which also encouraged many people to seek a new class.
Of the two other people I did my first playthrough with, two of us have kept our original class and one of us has rerolled for Inferno. Of the other people I know playing, I'd say just under half of them have decided to choose a new class.
This is a screenshot from an old poll here on TL. I saved this shortly before the game was released as it was pretty impressively tied. I won't include the poll itself as some people will undoubtedly not read this and vote in it anyway.

Playing barbarian now with my first character.
Next character will surely be a wizard or demon hunter because I'd like to experience a ranged character... and actually have things a little bit easier for me.

Still DH, lvl 35 at the moment, maybe I'll get 60 in another week or so when I have some free time in my hands~
Next up will be a barbarian for sure, already have some started gear stored. |

| Have stuck with my original plans so far playing wizard, will probably stick to it until I clear inferno. Usually play barb on HC, but don't play that too much. |

| Well I didn't play the beta but my first character after release is a DH (level 17 yupi lol I usually don't have that much time to play and when I do, there seems to be something wrong with the servers T.T lol) and when Im tired of him, I'll probably go with a Monk to try a CC class to be different from the ranged style of the DH. |
