Hi there TL!
Dinged 60 recently and bought/collected some gold finding gear. I have about 275% increased gold drop from monsters, and farming up cash seems to go pretty fast.
However i have a couple of questions on how to farm gold more efficiently, questions that I hope some of you can answer.
What is the best place to farm gold? I have been farming gold on the bridge in act3 which seems to be a pretty good place, but I am curious if there is a better place.
Which difficulty level is most suitable for gold farming? I am currently farming in nightmare. When I gear for gold find, my other stats seem to turn very bad and the farming speed would drastically decrease in hell and inferno, however i might be wrong.
How does gold find compare to Magic Find? I thought about gearing for MF too, but it seems to me that you have to kill the harder mobs in hell/inferno to get good items. When i gear for MF my stats decrease alot, so i made the choice to go gold find instead. Maybe my thought process is flawed and magic find is the way to go.
will be grateful for any of your insights |

| If you can handle the elites in late act 1 inferno, I personally think that's the way to go. As you gear up you'll be able to go to act 3 inferno to farm items. You don't need MF, the Nephalem Valor buff is enough. If you really want MF, get a whole new set of gear with MF on every part and switch just before killing the last elite of a pack. | in term of gold, i think act1 is the best place. Gold is a good stable income but running MF is often wayyyyy better in case you got a rare/legendary that could sell for millions. Gold is easy and stable, MF farm is high risk high reward. |

?
Lots of people still gear farm, gold farming is useless if you don't have the gear to purchase with the gold. |

They are one in the same, and its not sudden. Its one of the major things they wanted to implement. Gold was useless accept for repair. |

| Probably Act1 Inferno royal crypts, ignore all monsters if possible and just smash vases with aoe and just a fast run through. I still think if you can do a fast 5NV + skeleton king or butcher with MF that it will be better. Some classes just cant do it though (monk and probably barb). By fast, I mean 10-15 mins per run. In that case gold find will be good. |

| Has anyone invested in a complete gold find armor set? I have considered it, but I don't have the money to get another set that would be inferno viable, but I could get one that could farm hell decently I think. |

| When the RMAH finally goes live (probably about mid of June.... 2015) then gold will suddenly be pretty worthless and it's all about gear farming again, as you won't be able to buy good gear with gold. |

I'm sure this will come across as woefully slow to anyone getting legitimate 500k+ gear drops, but on my DH I've been doing Siegebreaker->Azmodan on nightmare. If you pick up all the yellows, and the blues from Cydea/Azmodan you should end up with a full inventory with only NV magic find. Just in my regular gear it takes me about 15-20 minutes, and on a shorter/unlucky run I'll net 40k, a longer/more lucky one it's more like 50k once I'm done vendoring everyting. I've also found 2 legendaries, one of which is probably worth no more than 15k, and another worth maybe 100k. Occasionally I'll also find an AH'able rare in the 15-50k range, but it's not very common and I don't consider it part of the return for the run.
While there's basically no potential to hit the jackpot, there's very little variation in the return rate, and it also has the bonus of being incredibly easy. Here's the spec I use for those interested:

| I can't imagine this getting ever close to the efficiency of the 5 stack double boss runs that you can do at least in act 1 and 2 |

Yeah, I'm expecting there to be a period of a few weeks where everything is crazy, and then if all goes well there should be a stable exchange rate between gold and money. (Based on prices D2 items sold for on 3rd party websites, I would expect somewhere on the order of 1 USD = 1 million gold.) |

I feel 1 USD for a Million gold is very cheap. Maybe that isn't we will have to see . I feel 5 USD = Million gold.

| For gold farming, the best place I think is Sarkoth in the dank cellar, there are several videos of it on youtube. I actually did this for a couple million gold and have an armor set specifically with % gold find on it. You get the occasional yellow from him, but it's mostly all blue's that are vendor worthy. |

| Best place for gold farming is probably hell mode whimsyshire area in decent gear you clear it fast get elite packs relatively close to get you a valour buff for extra gold loot is not too bad as well some rares still worth a fair amount of gold. But if you have the gear inferno version is far superior to that gear drops are equal to act 4 inferno were your gear is going to drop and actually be worth selling plus if you leave the magic clouds till youve cleared then use mf gear you will get some awesome gear pretty fast. Ive already seen two players with 30 mil plus already doing this one of which had 53 mil just doing this all day. |

You can do Quest 1 of Act 4 "Battle of the Heavens" or something. It takes 45 seconds and it's 2K per time with Quest gold + items that drop. Which means in 20 minutes you can farm 50K every single time guaranteed.
I find that to be the best place when I am bored or just messing around before work or something and want to pop off a quick 50K. |

That's funny cause I didn't do any research and that's the same exchange rate I would expect just based on what I know about games with two currencies (in game and real money based).

a blue weapon with high dps costs 5-10 million gold, i would not value them at 25-50[currency], 5-10[currency] seems more like it.
currency being euro and usd, its the same in internet game land apparently. |

Its going to be more than $1.00 USD for 1 million gold. It will be more around the $3.00 USD for 1 million gold. |
