D3 is dropping my connection

I know it may sound absurd but when I play public games or with more than 1 person my connection will drop after a few minutes and keep dc'in if i use skype while playing it gets worse. It never happened before (tho I changed my pc to play it ), but it also doesnt occur on other online games, I dont receive a no internet signal, instead my internet stays on hold and get back after 30 or so seconds (time enough for me to get disconnected) all services stop ... The router still see myself as connected :/
Any suggestions ?
I already checked energy setting and tried to turn on and off the router 's dmz (no success)

What's the router model? I'd try another one if it's somehow possible, as it might be broken or just crap.
Some bad routers behave similar if there are many active connections like with torrents. And check your antivirus program too (or try to play with it disabled (only for testing)).

It's a TPLINK 740N, tho I don't belive that is the exact source of problem since I'm used to leech torrents with 9999 connections open and that never happened, also it doesnt happen with other games and I fail to see how d3 netcode would be so heavy ... =(

My router is the Virgin Media Superhub and I had a similar problem where the downloader & the game (because the game still downloads whilst you're in it) would cause me to drop connection between every 30 seconds and every 5 - 10 minutes.

The solution for me was to turn off uPnP. Whilst it's a different router model it could be a similar problem, not sure...

Hope it helps.

Edit: This is in your actual router, not in the downloader or Diablo 3 settings.

Have you port forwarded? I don't know if it actually helps, but Blizzards help page suggests it.

I do got exactly the same problem, but only once a few days and keeps disconnecting and indeed 30 secs later com
es back up, when i'm on Skype ill dc there too for a sec.

got a d-link dir 655
And got no understanding at all from routers.

Can someone please help?

I had this in the beta, if im correct, your entire internet drops out, not just D3, right?

I searched for hours and tried multiple things (turning off QoS, UPnP, opening ports, reinstalls blah dee blah) and none of it worked.

Some of the fixes worked for others though, in the end i just lent my account to a friend for him to play the beta on, thankfully when D3 was released i no longer had the issue.

Yeah I port forwarded and turned dmz on (like blizz's site suggest)

I have the same exact problem, and so does a friend. Very very annoying issue...

lol for me it's quite the opposite ...
the game even freeze direct on pc without router but with my sony vaio on wireless it doesnt hang i can play for days if i so wished ...
