I've never been so mad.

Is there something I'm missing here?
I remember Ret vs Mondragon in BW had a story about it. I can't find the thread now, but I guess Ret chose a race that Mondragon didn't like during TSL 2. IMO during a tournament you are sort of prepared to face a race, and the other guy simply change it in the last second.
OT: I find this a stupid idea for ladder. I would find it pretty nice to play only TvP, PvT and PvZ, but there is no way it would work. If you want to play only these matchups, find a practice partner. I don't think that even more than 50% of the ladder thinks this is a good idea, the increase in utility of the implementation for them would be smaller than the loss of utility for the rest of the ladder. And thank the gods that blizzard doesn't listen to the comunity very much. All these ideas seem to have come from a mind of a 12 year old (not this idea specifically, just a rant in general, and I know about ideas from a 12 year old because I still remember all the ideas I had then).
I know for a fact that they made Ret pick his race a week or 2 ahead of time in TSL2. Also, the unexpected aspect of it was that Ret noramlly had played TvZ in the past, but had just switched to playing ZvZ in preparation for his move to Korea, where they did not allow race switching.
God there are so many terrible responses in this thread. Do you guys not know that this is possible in BW ? You can choose to host, choose the map, choose the matchup and even kick / ban your opponent if he's BM or particularly cheesy or if you just don't like the guy. You can also talk to him before playing and name your game as you wish. For instance you could name your game "FS ZERG ONLY" and everyone would know that the map is fighting spirit and you only want to play vs zerg. And if you find another race picker you could talk to him to play a matchup you like ( ex : he plays ZvT and PvT you play PvZ and TvP, you name your game zerg only but since he doesn't play ZvP you can settle on a TvP ). And guess what ? This doesn't " break anything " there are racepickers, they exist and i understand them, it's not "BS" it's not "IMBA" in fact i'm sure a good amount of protoss players for instance are tired of PvPs and would be willing to play T or Z if faced with another Protoss player This is one of the many features that Bnet 0.2, made in 2010 doesn't have, but that Bnet 1.0 from 1999 ( i think ) has. It would be great if we had that or even less ( ex : you choose : IF opponent is ZERG you play TERRAN, IF opponent is TERRAN, you play PROTOSS, IF opponent is PROTOSS, you play ZERG ) but they'll never implement it because it simply isn't worth it. Are they gonna sell more games by implementing this feature ? Not really, so why should they care ??
