So E3 officially starts this Tuesday, but a lot of announcements and slipping out already. So now is as good of a time as any to start a thread for it because I'm pretty pumped about this year's show.
Schedule of some events:
Monday: - Microsoft press conference (9:30AM PT) - EA press conference (12PM PT) - Ubisoft press conference (3 PM PT) - Sony press conference (6PM PT)
Tuesday:
- Nintendo press conference (9:00AM PT) - Show floor opens up
Hopefully the demos shown this year won't be as horrible as they were last year, where every demo was filled with tons of quick-time-events and extremely scripted sequences. they always seemed to show the parts of the game that were most likely to make me roll my eyes. "oh cool another extremely long death animation for generic enemies". last year the only game that looked really cool and new was bioshock infinite, but I am expecting a lot more great looking games this year.
I will hopefully update the OP with cool trailers throughout next week as they come out and if I think they're cool enough. some trailers that I think are cool:
hoping for some solid 3ds and vita announcements (preferably dragon quest 3ds), mostly i could careless about the 'big budget' games that will probably be featured though

some games I'm most looking forward to seeing more of:
- dishonored - the last of us - XCOM - MGS rising - company of heroes 2 - metro: last light - THE LAST GUARDIAN OH PLEASE GOD PLZ
I would like to see some vita titles that aren't just hand-me-down versions of PS3 titles. like if instead of what sony has done so far with 1st party support of PSP/vita (crappy versions of other games), just make a bunch of unique games like gravity rush plz.
I'm also curious to see these games but not exactly super excited or anything yet: - god of war: ascension - new gears of war wtf - fortnite wtf is this game - assassin's creed 3 (could this be the first assassin's creed game that I will like?) - tomb raider (is it more than just a bunch of quick-time events?) - nintendo-produced WII U games. hopefully they will look cooler than most stuff nintendo shows at E3
also I HOPE that we get to see kojima's new game, although I'm starting to doubt that we will. same goes with a new game from sucker-punch.

damn the MGS rising trailer is pretty sick. The metal-gear loving side of my cringes at how dumb the narration and story elements are (especially since MGS4 was such a final and perfect ending to the story..), but the platinum games-loving side of me is super psyched to see their next game.

I'm still not quite over "revengeance" but the game looks pretty sweet regardless, need to try to not think it as a MGS game I guess. Think it should attract a lot of new fans for the serie as well that never liked the original gameplay.
Other than that I'm curious of The Last of Us and Sleeping Dogs, hopefully some others as some of the titles don't say anything to me.

Lame that Sony have decided to move, or were forced to move, their conference to the evening. It used to start mid-afternoon in the UK, when they went before Nintendo but now it'll be 2am.

Can't wait for announcements about more sequels! Last year's e3 was nothing but sequels from the major studios, with very few original titles. E3 has turned into something much less spectacular then it has felt in the past, whether due to the rise of media overload or lack of original titles from the major studios, I'm not too excited about this year's conference.
Hoping some new original titles come out of this year though
