Also, if scum ever shoot him, they can be dicks and out him or something; like right before one of those scum get lynched, they say "Hey! I'm scum, we shot [guy] and he didn't die, he's SK please kill him for us" or something. That would be a downer for the poor guy
That's pretty poor ettiquete, I would say, and isn't optimal play either.. Scum COULD do that, but realistically, the SK wants the scum to live so that they will shoot up town for them. Therefore, scum benefit from having SK around.

In that case it helped both town and mafia though. Crazed Fiend is pretty much harmless to both since it only has one shot. |

No, if it's 4-2-1 or something like that then it's kind of optimal for them to do that (in which case the scum getting lynched would force a 2-1 LYLO instead of a 2-1-1 or something and having the SK around)
how can town be sure the person mafia points at is actually the fiend? |

| I'm talking like Day 2 gonzaw, also in a situation where town doesn't know who the last scum is and it's 1-1-1, it's better to not tell town who the real SK is if town is already sure who the last mafia is. |

Nah, Radfield doesn't want to RNG; he thinks it has no benefit. So I'm not a perfect match with him. Ace does want to RNG though so I'm possibly a perfect match with him. Or at least a better match than with Radfield.
It just so happened that the RNG picked my perfect match. =[. What's done is done yo. |

| Backing away from RNG, Ace? I didn't realize there were DIFFERENT ways to RNG. Pray tell what the other ways are aside from RNGing using a, well, random number generator. |

If that's truly the only reasoning behind a no-lynch then it's an endeavor that can be accomplished better via other means. Lynching someone based on meta reasoning(Ace is good as scum, Player X is detrimental to town) serves the same purpose(discussion), yet actually has some grounding, and actually has a tangible benefit to town. I don't think RNG really promotes discussion very well, as it leaves nothing to discuss. "Well, the RNG picked 3, lets all vote ace or not" *shrug*. Lynching Ace because he is a solid scum player adept at manipulation and able to control a game, while simultaneously being a semi-disruptive presence as a townie and a non-team player actually gives us something to discuss. It's superior in every way. Fact is I don't think anyone in this game takes an RNG vote remotely serious, so it fails in it's goal to generate a reaction from scum. Whereas seriously voting ace with reasoning forces scum to take a side, and actually puts pressure on Ace. I think you're missing the context...
Who said no one is seriously taking an RNG vote? I'm sure everyone is. And so it holds weight see and would benefit town. |

Haha, was that your first try, or do you just want to kill Ace? I know someone you might like to get to know better, I think you share similar interests. Radfield meet Chaoser. Chaoser meet Radfield. It's a perfect match!
There's no assurance you actually RNG'ed that, so I'm wondering why you want to kill Ace. Do you actually support an Ace lynch? Your next post looks weird too, asking if Ace is backing off RNG when he said you're jumping the gun and that your RNG isn't valid. False pressure, and all that.
Actually that screenshot WAS my very first try though I would have probably rerolled till 3 (Ace) showed up had it not shown up at first. I obviously don't think day one lynch should be based on RNG but I do think RNG as a starter can act very prominently as a very strong type of pressure. Usually people start off the game with a "Blank is mafia, lynch him ##vote" and then they work off that (I do this often) but recently it hasn't been working so well. RNG on the other hand, especially if it seems like many townies are behind it, allows for an opening move that puts an extreme amount of pressure on the person who was "RNG"-ed. Obviously they all kind of are in the know that the RNG target is not the final lynch but that they make it SEEM like that person is. This allows for massive pressure.
I picked Ace for this move for two reasons. One is because he's Ace. He has the potential to be extremely devastating as mafia and so I wanted to start the game off as strongly as possible against him to figure him out. And two is because he himself supported the concept of RNG and so for him to be the "RNG" target would put him in a position where he can't just back off of it. This was why I posted that second post about him backing off. My responses to Radfield are all responses to try to get him to understand what I was trying to do with the fake RNG policy -_- and so I had to be ambiguous cause obviously if mafia knows it's fake then it doesn't work. Either way I tried, it didn't work as well as I hoped since not enough people went along with it, and Ace is just deflecting all pressure.
I actually wasn't even sure how RNGs really worked which is why I asked Radfield.
Either way, I'm interested in something else now.

Yes, I'm afraid my lack of stance on whether RNG is beneficial for town is NOT indicative of my alignment. The truth is, I can see both sides of the argument, so I'm fine with whatever. I suggest you don't lynch me because of that.
