Today at 5PM PT / 8PM ET (in 3 hours from writing this post), TotalBiscuit & Joe Miller will present the first-ever look at Shootmania gameplay in a tournament setting. The tournament will take place June 1st and 2nd (tomorrow's broadcast starting at 12 PT / 3PM ET / 21:00 CET).
On June 6th, the top two teams will be sent to E3 to play for a trip to France.
Hmmm I'm really interested in this. Some people say it's going to be garbage others say it's the second coming. I just don't even know. I've never seen any actual game play. I'm hard to please though, if it isn't Tribes or Quake I usually don't care.

Will be following this game and hopefully get to play it aswell in beta or whatever. One thing i hate about it that the movement looks a little clunky like in UT which im not a big fan of personally. Watching a player with good movement in quake is like art
I personally watched the stream for about an hour, and I was not a fan. I think the game mode is not something suitable for competitive play, and it was quite boring to watch. I also did not like the UI and it did not feel smooth to me. I hope this does not become the next big FPS eSport, as Tribes:Ascend is a much stronger title and more fit for competitive play.

This was just to show the game, no one says elite will be the game mode played on tournaments. Though it is really easy to follow and had some interesting moments when people who actually knew what they were doing played, kinda what you need for esports game. And please, Tribes a strong title? T:A is joke in almost every aspect, current comp players know how "strong" game tribes is for competitive play.

I think it looks cool and it has potential.Yes,it has some problems(as you mentioned above)but keep in mind that this is an alpha version of the game so it's gonna get a lot better.
Also, why can't we have 2 more big competitive FPS?

Hmmm, not just the game mode, i just was not a fan in general... and T:A has 10k$ NASL coming up, 3.5k ESL FPS General 2.5k tournaments sprining up everywhere, and as the COO of arguably the best, and if not the second best team in T:A, I can say that the players know that it has a future.
I didn't find it all that interesting but it was an alpha build I suppose. competitive fps just doesn't seem all that interesting to me anymore. Can I get Quake 5 Arena please? Oh well I'll keep my eye on it.
I actually quite enjoyed the final games, when teams started to know what they were doing and generally had more skill than the previous teams. A couple of really WTF moments when someone wins when he shouldn't have won, and stuff like that. I feel like this has a lot of potential.I'll be watching the E3 finals for sure.
