| mTw has been doing well for a long time, definitely deserved it. (probably deserved an invite over other EU teams but w/e) |

!It's the contrary ! He'll be there, which wouldn't have been the case without the qualification (I think) |

| The West qualifier felt a bit like Game of Throws. I guess we do have to remember these guys are technically the "weakest" of the "invites". |

Nope. Before the qualifier Mouz mTw has all taken multiple games off invited teams in a dominating fashion. There are also a lot of controversial around valve invitation. And it isnt Game of Throws at all, it just reflect the strong push heavy EU meta game with the lack of burst force to break a turtle late game formation. |

A lot of games even with better teams in EU feels like who makes less mistakes rather than who makes more good plays. I think that's going to change after teams bootcamp for dreamhack and then TI though.
Especially the chaotic late game.Last edit: 2012-06-11 06:50:13 |

By weakest I think a lot of people mean those who aren't Na'vi+Zenith+Orange+Chinese teams(some, if not most of them), as much as I like mTw I really don't see them winning a bo3 from any of those while having a tough fight with the others. And yes western qualifiers was full of unsafe, risky play(from everyone, sometimes good and sometimes bad) and full of chaos indeed.Last edit: 2012-06-11 07:07:14 |

IMO some teams got invited based on stability over skill which makes sense from valves end and is sad that some teams were so unstable and took so long to form. Mouz could easily take games off many of the invited teams. |

Why? They have proven in the past weeks that they are a top team. Next week is dreamhack, no point in changing. |

I honestly think that MTW can make top 5 in the international. They always seem to create a surprising advantage and recently they have managed to win with it. I can't seem them beating the chinese teams though, and maybe m5/navi/zenith. Zenith are still going to be my favourites going into this tournament. They don't even seem to falter in their matchups!
The east qualifiers were pretty boring, as were the west qualifiers grand finals. But that is what is going to happen with so much on the line. |

Mtw are too mistake prone currently to place that high. Precision and confidence are going to be key at the international. |

mTw had so many situation where they could just walk into the enemy base and kill all of them. But instead of doing that mtw wasted time and when they finally pushed in, it was way harder than they could have had it before. So don't blame the meta.
And most invited teams are way above mouz and mtw, so I wouldn't be surprised if mtw is on the last place(together with a few other teams)Last edit: 2012-06-11 19:18:12 |
