Those that have patched to 1.5, is your "center camera on current selection" key (default is control+f) acting strangely? Occasionally after I center the camera on a unit, it seems the command doesn't get released and continues to center the camera on any units I click afterwards.
For example, after I hit ctrl+f to center the camera on a hatch, sometimes the camera will continue to follow any other units I click even though I'm not holding down ctrl+f. |

| I tried this for about 2 hrs last night and found it rather difficult to adjust to. In particular I had trouble with m and k on the Protoss layout. Do I need to specifically practice those or is this a sign Ithis may not be for me? I used to be quite good at flute and violin so I'd like to think I can learn finger movements effectively. |

| It takes far more than two hours to adjust to The Core. I'd recommend playing it for at least that long every day and see how you feel after a week. |

Thanks! I'll continue working on it. So far the hardest part seems to be the pinky fingerings. In particular m seems hard to do any sort if hold position micro with. In people's experience does your pinky eventually learn? |

Do you have your keyboard tilted to an appropriate angle as in the video tutorial? Tilting your keyboard so your pinky bends naturally from 'j' to 'm' is very helpful. I've played 2 sessions now with TheCore, each about ~3-4 hours, and I'm starting to adjust to it nicely (I was very frustrated after my first session, but after sleeping on it and playing again it went much better). I was mid-Masters before switching and I fell a bunch (losing about ~10 straight games) but I'm back beating low masters players again, and my pinky has definitely gotten accustomed to pressing 'j', 'm', 'h' all the time. |

Will you guys be ready with the core for HOTS? =D
My experience with it has gotten so much better by the way. It took me probably around 30 games against the CPU to get comfortable with it, then 40 regular games on ladder to get on par with the way I were before the switch. I consider myself a slow to moderate learner. However I'm starting to really feel the potential now and with every game I get a little bit better. Sometimes you have to take 4 steps back to eventually take 5 steps forward. Without a doubt this is the right move. So props guys and thank you. |

Not to make a big issue out of this, but aren't 0 and 9 supposed to be hit with middle and index, respectively? At least I use those two to spam (active tumor and one hatch for me). I even thought they were meant to be used that way with 4th/5th-mouse-setups. |

Yes! Mine is on Right Alt and it only centers after I've held it down for about a second. Very annoying.

0 and 9 are both supposed to be hit with the middle finger. This is the fastest, most ergonomic choice. However, if you are hitting them in combination, it would make sense to use index and middle alternating, although this would be much better on a finger meant to be pressed with the index. For example, going back and forth between 9 and ; instead of 9 and 0. |

He moved uneccessarily out-of-the-way keys (such as I for immo) closer to the base keys (asdf).
That idea led to the brainstorming that became this hotkey layout. |
