Hi guys,
I need to buy a new laptop. Main uses will be web browsing, word processing, watching movies ect but it would be really nice to find one that can play sc2, even if its only on low or mid settings.
This is the site I'm looking at is a $469 Asus, http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/notebook.pdf -Amd sabine a4-3300m -4GB DDR3 -Radeon HD6520G 512MB dedicated VGA -Windows 7 Home premium
I don't know much about comps and I had a look at the benchmark thread and still can't make heads or tails of it, will this be able to run sc2? If not, is there anything near this price range on the site that will? My mate said I should get something with an Intel i5, but to get that + a dedicated graphics card is gonna set be back around ~$750 when really I didn't ant to spend more than $500.
Thanks for your time guys, any help would be appreciated |

| If you wait a bit you might be able to get an AMD Trinity laptop (A6/8/10-4xxx instead of 3xxxM) which will be much better. If you can't wait, get an i5 processor, and the Intel HD3000 should manage decently on low. Trinity might be better though, although I'm not sure exactly when they will come out. |

| Hmm thanks I'll keep an eye on the Trinity. Will the laptop I listed run sc2 though? As I said getting an i5 with an dedicated graphics card was a good $250 above what I was wanting to pay. |

| Umm Llano laptops are so terrible on the CPU side that you would have trouble running SC2 from a CPU perspective. iirc you would be better off running an i5 with integrated graphics, which you might be able to find for around 500$. |
