*As much as I would like to make a sexy original post with links / pictures or whatever, I really don't want this stuff promoted so I'm just gonna start the discussion*
I do want to point out I really enjoy playing D3, and I am a fan of Blizzard with hopes that this will all work itself out. I just want to know what everyone thinks ^^
Now that bots / hacks are already out for D3, and obviously working (while suppose to be risky to use in-case you get detected and then banned), is it even worth investing time farming / playing D3?
Furthermore, how can you have a real money auction house when you have kids just farming 100 million gold a day with bots and hacks? It will instantly be brought to the ground and the game will be ruined. Is this why the real money AH keeps getting pushed back perhaps? Until Blizzard can find a way to cope with this? Is there no defense that we can possibly have against hacks / bots for a game?

| bots/hacks were out the first night, for most hacks they changed nothing from beta so they just carried over. Farming scripts for most places were out a few hours after the spots were found to be worth writing a script for. |

| Just play the game dude and have fun with friends. I don't know what you expected of a Diablo game. I don't care if the AH is full of cheap gear, I'll buy it and go have fun killing things, or fight in a PvP. I never thought of Diablo as the new WoW, it's just a game to kill time and have fun. At least for me. |

Diablo is the game that you make it; it allows you to challenge yourself in different ways. Whether that be hardcore mode or completing the game with something wacky like a battle mage.
The AH is just another way you can play the game. If you don't like it.. don't use it. |

I thought that was the point of Blizzard's philosophy of "you have to be logged in on your Bnet account to play at all times", so that it is possible to detect if your game client is ever altered in any way, then then ban those users via the Warden? |

| no, that was just them being anti-piracy, Warden is the biggest myth in the gaming industry, people think it's some magical answer to everything but it has never stopped any blizzard game from being botted/hacked, 6years of wow, nearly 10 of d2 and I never lost a single account for more than a 24hour ban. | Blizzard likes to do bans in wave, they will take one of the more popular bots/hacks and do a large banning, most of the time only for 24hour bans and it doesn't change the fact that some people have already gotten several hundred millions from their bots/hacks already and completely fucked the market and/or cashed out. |

This. I never thought Diablo 2 as a game to play indefinitely and lose myself. It is a game that you play like hell for 1 month make a fun character then never play the game again for at least 6 month, get bored and do it all over again or play with your old character for funsies. D3 is no different.
Don't know how other people play D2 for years without getting bored. It is just a way to blow off steam between SC2 ladder grinds imho. |

IMO it was because magic finding was addicting in D2. It's really lame in D3 because drop rates are soooooooo much lower and legendaries are awful. |

| and the fact that the best mf in game involves avoiding all monsters and just running to chests...nerf chest/goblins/vases/wepracks, buff elite pack drops, buff the way NV works, buff act boss drops with 5 NV stack, buff group play (more drops/gold/xp for lower levels to go along with the monsters getting harder, right now you are penalized for playing in a group so unless you're gimped and can't solo there is no reason not to solo) Last edit: 2012-06-03 17:38:10 |

The only important difficulty is inferno, where mobs increase by 110%. Monks have a really hard time with groups unless the partner is either another monk or barb, and viceversa. The 15% increase in damage when you don't severely overgear content can turn a barely HP positive build(over ~15 seconds against an average mob) to certain death without buffs to increase survivability.Last edit: 2012-06-03 19:07:12 |

Sad but true  I am really confused by the design concept from the studio, they want us to have fun but preventing us to have fun?? How many people really enjoy playing the game alone. To me normal mode = single player game, the rest of the modes is about smashing everything with my mates |
