Poll: Should opterown and I put on a show match?Yes (9) 75% No (3) 25% 12 total votes Your vote: Should opterown and I put on a show match? (Vote): Yes (Vote): No
Just wanted to emphasize a couple of things:
opterown and I have mutual respect for each other and have discussed this with each other. It was both our idea to have this kind of thread opened up. We really want your honest feedback. Please tell us what are my strong points. What are opterown's strong points? What are other peoples' OP strong points?
Have fun with this guys. You can be brutally honest and not suffer any consequencesLast edit: 2012-06-04 15:59:21 |

I like opterowns Code A thread example best.
Simple, nothing fancy, throw a good banner on top and it's perfect. |

Well, I like opterown's because of the simplicity of it, so easy to navigate and quickly get your information, and it looks rather nice with the banners. SeeKeR has somewhat more information in his LR OPs, it seems to me. be it with fun little polls, short writeups on players, recommendations and so on.
I guess what I'm saying is I like having a bit of variety in my LRs, so it's nice to have more than a single person doing them, and I like that they each have their own style. While I leech off them :>

Feel that opterown's work is less cluttered with fancy stuff and therefore better. You have to be careful though that you don't use spoiler tags at literally every possible occasion as it is quite easy to afterwards show too little information.
I would for instance have shown the first lineup at the GSTL match. |

It's not available for some reason, unless it's on some korean site somewhere? they had starters up for previous seasons, but I can't find them for this season. |

I don't mind which of those it is, both look clean and hype. Must say that I enjoy not having one set person/blueprint for how every LR should look and a bit of variation is always a good thing |

I agree with what is said above.
For me, best quality to seek for live report OP is simplicity (both aesthetically and in term of efficiency), and you both achieve to reach that to be honest, but opterowns' one seem to me even clearer and practical. Anyway, keep on the good work both of you. |

| Yeah it would be nice if you could add the two initial players to the OP, under the line-up. Talking to opterown here. I'm aware that it's not really possible to know who they are till they go into their booths, but once they do they could be added. |

I usually only want to find
- Liquipedia link
- Stream link
- Results
- Live Reports
Both layouts are good to find those informations. As long as you don't add fancy graphics that clutter everything I cannot complain. |

Im fine with the layout. But STOP using one frickin banner for every single match. Look at BW threads, almost every single match/playday has their own banner. Well Im not saying opt/seeker/whoever have to make one, but it's not like no other posters contribute some, is it?
Besides, I'd like to see players and maps thumbnail if possible. Lastly, screw the star rating system. Isnt it much simple to grade the game as "yes", "no" and "if you have time" ? |

| I think Seeker's are really good personally. Really loaded with info with is what I like, but also easy to navigate. |

| I really love the "Today's Match-Up" section in SeeKeR's thread, as well as the general amount of information. |

with those things, my main reason is that they take up a lot of space :S maps and player profiles can really add up and a lot of scrolling to reach results/etc can be annoying
i can make banners, and if people want them i shall try to get new ones each day. but there's also time constraints of course haha.
regarding info - what am i missing that seeker has? any specific examples? i will try to include them without compromising the cleanness of my layout.Last edit: 2012-06-03 22:47:00 |
