Samsung Khan's Sharp won his first game in a year. Against SK Telecom T1's Paralyze, Sharp staged a comeback into victory. His last win was on May 21st of 2011, where he defeated CJ's Skyhigh in the Shinhan Bank Proleague 10-11 season, and since then, 380 days passed before he was finally able to laugh again. In the post-game interview, Sharp said dramatically, "In the future, when the opportunity arrises, I want to seize it and win."
Q: After 380 days, you've won a game. A: I wanted this win so bad. I went into the game today thinking that I just couldn't lose. I'm so happy that I won.
Q: What did you think when you heard you were getting sent out? A: Last match, I was supposed to get sent out for SC2, but I never got to play. When I heard that I'd get another chance, I prepared excitedly.
Q: During this last year, you must have suffered a lot of distress. A: Throughout the games I lost, there were so many times were I was in a good situation. Right now, it's not easy to get a chance to be in the lineup, and I just couldn't screw it up. I felt so nervous and stressed.
Q: What do you think now that you've won? A: I'm really happy. And I'm reminiscent of the old days. Just getting a chance to play is great, but to think that it lead to victory too, it feels so great.
Q: After you won, was there anyone you thought of? A: I thought of all the fans that supported me, even when I never got to play. When I thought of these fans, I felt so grateful. For them, I definitely want to win more.
Q: The interview was very dramatic. A: Last season they started doing the post-game winner interviews. When I got sent out, I was personally more occupied with the thought of being able to do an interview, rather than winning. I wanted to change my image with good interviews. But at this point, I can barely even win a game, so focusing on interviews first was a big mistake. And so for this season, I'm going to definitely win my games and then improvise the interviews after.
Q: How did you prepare for the game? A: Because we're doing both BW and SC2 at the same time, I practiced hard. Relatively speaking, there's been so many more Protosses sent out than any other race, so I just practiced my TvP.
Q: In the early part of the game, you took damage from the reaver drop. A: I thought, "Oh god, I'm going to die a horrible death again." I wouldn't have even been able to show my face.
Q: Though it's hard to get a shot at the lineup, what are your plans? A: This season, because we're playing two games, the players that work hard will survive. Because of this, I'll have to work even harder to show good form. If I get the opportunity again, I want to win.
Q: Any other words? A: To my fans who supported me and to my family, thank you. I also want to thank my teammates and the coaching staff.
Thanks for the t/n+interview!! No Stork interview?! No wai D:
Sharp was so funny to watch being interviewed hehe
"It has always been in my observation of human nature, that a man who has any good reason to believe in himself never flourishes himself before the faces of other people in order that they may believe in him."
My impression of him in the past is that he would play well half way through every game, and then inexplicably just fail and lose. Supposedly one of the better practice players that just can't handle TV game. So hopefully the win and the SC2 reboot can get his confidence up. The guy was in tears when he won, which really shows you how much it means to him.
Meh

It's horribly horribly sad when an SKT vs Khan PL interview thread can't even break 2 pages. This used to be a clash of titans and all the sons of Aiur would come to squabble over which of the TaekBang should rule over them.
Now? ...Silence

Kiett specified that there wasn't a Stork interview and I don't know if Sharp's a relatively popular player. Most of us here are Samsung fans which is why WE'RE here posting but without any heavy players here and with the new league format it's not hard to believe that things don't break two pages.

I dno man... in the old days, you'd have a horde of blue in here gloating over the fact we stomped the hated SKTs. It never really mattered what the interview said lol, as long as we got to say the Twin Cannons were better than BiSu/Best it was worth posting

Man it was such a brutal victory it's not even worth gloating about.
