Hello,

I'm starting uni this year and so I need a laptop, and obviously it has to be a gaming one. After some research I found out that the Asus G53sx would probably be the best choice.

I would like to have some feedbacks before to buy it, since I'm a complete noob in the laptops universe. (i'll use it mainly for redaction and gaming)

Feel free to make suggestions, but i can't really pay more than 1300$.

1)I have a G60j. Asus is a really good brand and often have the most GPU power for your buck.

2) You don't need 3D. Downgrade to a non 3D version.

EDIT: Also the 17inch is HUGE. Opt for the smaller one. I thought my 15.6in was small when I ordered it, but I was wrong. Any bigger and I would hate to lug it around if I needed to. But, in the end it really depends on what you want it for and how often you plan on moving it around.
