Anyone can compete, but only the four best teams can take a slot. If you and your mates think you have what it takes, hurry over to joinDOTA, take a deep breath, and sign yourselves up!

Qualifier starts 11th, 18:00 CEST Pool system until top 32 32 teams double elemination grid Top 2 upper bracket teams qualify Top 2 lower bracket teams qualify
Qualifier ends June 13th, 2012
The 512 qualifier slots are first come first serve, so be sure to sign up as early as possible. They might be gone more quickly than you anticipated.
As for the qualifier format, all teams will be placed in pool play, with the top 32 entering a playoff bracket, and the top two teams from the upper and lower brackets receiving a slot in the main tournament, which is scheduled to be running form the 21st of June until 12th of August, shortly before The International kicks off.
Everybody is allowed to enter the qualification. I don't think any Chinese teams are going to enter because all matches are going to be played on USE so no chinese wants to enter I think.
Also I think jD want the whole tournament to happen on US East/Europe server, so they properly didn't want to invite any. And how chinese teams treated them last Defense I think it's just fine they didn't invite them. No idea in having chinese vs EU teams battle it out online.

Keita is listed in the news. So the thread creator just missed it

Going to be quite interessting to see how this unfolds since some of this teams are up and coming and others that looked solid some months ago like darer and CLG now looks less solid after some line up changes
