POLSKAAAAAA!!!
Szczesny has only himself to blame for that red card. If a keeper tackles the attacker, it's an automatic red. The second yellow that got the greek player (forget the name) sent off was valid, he was the last defender. The first yellow he got however was waaaaay to strict.
Szczesny made a calculated decision that saved the draw for us. If he wouldn't foul there it would be 100% goal for Greece, by fouling and getting a red card he forced a penalty, reducing the chances for Greece to score slightly (to 0% in this specific situation ). One of the best decisions in this match, the guy's a hero. All blame should be on our defenders, who left goalkeeper with no other choice.
I don't think the Greek player could have scored from this position he handled the ball really badly.

They can't give yellows for that...
I am not defending referee, but you are wrong. Technically you can give yellow, and I saw it a few times however it is given out only when the player is unable to catch up to the ball because he made mistake before goalkeeper committed the foul. For example attacker kicked the ball too far to the corner on full speed and then goalkeeper touched him. So basically when there is no chance goal could be scored. Red card was correct for Szczesny unfortunately, what I am mad/sad about is that Greek player didn't handle the ball correctly, if you see the replays, there is no way he could score that goal. Ball went to the side and bounced back away from goal But it was too fast for Szczesny to see
You do realize that once Szczesny is committed and made the tackle he couldve kicked the ball into the crowd and it wouldnt have mattered right ? He did what he needed to do because he doesnt commit the touch doesnt need to be heavy. Take that to your replays, its a reaction to the keepers decision not vice versa, and rather split second. So the unable to catch up scenario doesnt make sense if its in the box and no cover.
I'd like to see where a yellow is given out for a situation where a goal scoring oppurtunity is denied with no sweeping defender and its not a straight red. Do share it,
Poland should have won this. Flop of the match was Smuda. Grosicki and Wolski should have gotten game time.

I am not gonna argue here because I feel like you completely misunderstood me. Read what I wrote one more time please I said that red card was correct and that yellow is given when there is no chance for a goal... just read more carefully

Which makes the comment irrelevant to the discussion. So there was no need to add that. Contributing is fine and all but telling someone they are wrong with a point that describes situations irrelevant to the case at hand is misleading and poor form.
You said that technically he was wrong because "you cant give yellows for that". Technically he was right. If your just talking about random goalkeeper fouls that earn yellows. The fuck does that have to do with anything.
Its like someone said X car has a max speed of 200 mph and you go nono technically thats wrong because Y car goes at 250. anyway whatever.
Poland has many good goalkeepers . Szczesny , Fabianski ( he is injured) , Boruc , Tyton , Wasilewski , all of them all world class players . Tyton will do good job for Poland also , you gonna see
Szczesny is very good , but i still miss King Arthur :/
True_Spike thanks for these amazing videos, didn't have time today to check crowd reactions in Warsaw's fan zone. That looked awesome. Regarding the cards, Szczęsny did it on purpose of course and it was instant red card, theres no discussion about it. As for Papastathopoulos, one could argue about his first yellow, but it was known before the match that this ref from Spain likes to use his cards, I am sure that Howard Webb or some other ref from GB wouldn't do that. Its just how generally referees from Spain do their job, with Carballo being no exception.
2nd yellow was IMO obvious, it was the last defender being late with his reaction, blocking the guy trying to go past him.It does not matter if he had yellow already or not, blame him for taking the risk, not ref for doing what any other referee would do in that specific situation.
Edit: I heard that Brożek was ready to come in moments before Szczęsny's red and forced Rybus=>Tytoń sub. Still have no idea why we didn't use 2 remaining substitutions, when it was clear that some of the guys had no energy left.

Isnt this the guy who pissed of the Rangers crowd a few years back like big time doing something like crossing himself and taunting?
Kuszczak is overrated imo , and wasilewski is better then Sandman imo , but they are also good.

Yes Boruc was having some personal issues , he is know as bad boy . But he is superb goalkeeper. Private life of players is not important , if they can play good at field imo
