its not about why artist didn't show up, it's about how it affects the next player that would have been seeded if artist didn't take the spot. (whoever was seed 9 should have been seeded into wr5 this event)
also I'd love to get a free win at winners round 5 but thats just stupid... |

Read the OP. Apply a little brain power. No one is hunting Artist. No one cares about Artist. It's how MLG has handled a no-show, which is to continue to seed a no-show into a tournament at which he also was a no-show. |

I don't think he's mad at Artist for not showing up. He recently left his team, no team, no money, in Korea, no way to get here for MLG. It's not a problem with Artist IMO. But I think he is saying MLG should recognize this and remove him from the bracket if they know he isn't attending? That's how I read it. Maybe he is pissed at Artist though O.o |

| It's not about how he didn't. It's about how he couldn't. He is not at fault for his own teams lack of support that was initially promised. It's just unlucky. It's also about MLG replacing the player. But of course MLG being MLG have better things to do. Like... Oh I dunno... Make more money and monopolise as usual? |

Anyways this definitely isn't thread worthy. Xeris obviously is capable of communicating with MLG as he isn't just some random fan who has to go on MLG's website and click on "Contact Us".

It's a small issue, but I think it's important enough to bring up. I'm hoping he doesn't get invited to the next Arena qualifier because of his "placement" at this MLG (I wish I could get top 48 at an MLG I didn't even play in)
Nice find and I believe its a legit problem. I'm not sure how to fix it, could they just 'bump up the next player' who should be in that spot if he is confirmed not at the event?
Maybe you should correct the issues that others complain about in your leagues before complaining about another's?

They should have a list of back up players to call in if something like this happens and they have advance warning. It is not artist's fault, and for those who didn't notice, xeris never said it was. MLG needs to find this out in advance and compensate in some way.

Have you read anything in this thread? its not aimed at artist, and no one is calling for pitch forks, or even acting like it. It is having a effect on players, and that one player who gets screwed over cares, and this is how they make their living so yes it is a issue. |

We had a player who qualified for Spring Arena, went, and then wasn't able to attend Anaheim. We notified MLG, and they replaced his seed and he was not in the bracket.
Artist however did NOT notify MLG, stayed in the bracket, didn't show, and then will place somewhat highly in the championship even without showing.
Seems like an issue that should be brought up. |
