Help with monitor Samsung Syncmaster SA700

So this monitor just arrrived home and when I connected it this is wat it looks like:

I don't know what it could be, can anyone help me? Do I have to change it? Or can I fix it?

Do you have a different cable you can test it with?

Yes, I tested it with an HDMI cable and the problem persisted.
Even I tried testing it on my Dad's notebook with an HDMI cable, the problem persisted. I don't really know what to do, I also tried changing some options on the menu that the monitor brings and the problem persisted.

When I unplug the monitor from the PC, the screen still looks like that (in black obviously), so I think the problem is with the monitor rather than the cable or the video card.

EDIT: The EXACT HALF OF THE MONITOR is with the problems, the other half DOES NOT HAVE IT. Its really relly weird

Yea sounds like theres a bad connection somewhere in the monitor that is causing the signal to the screen to go all wonky. Will more than likely have to get another one, dont think there is much you can do.

Probably a loose cable within the monitor or a defective panel. I would return it or contact warranty.

Hi!
Try switching the "samsung magic color" setting to different options.
Menu button -> Magic -> Samsung Magic Color
The demo mode makes exactly 50% of the screen use magic color while other side remains normal. For my monitor it doesnt look like your picture but give it a shot. (S23A700D)

Hey, thanks for answering. I tried this and the problem persisted so I think I'm going to contact warranty. I hope they replace it.
