I do not want to argue about semantics with you but take it in general terms:
BKE states that he believes it beneficial to be forgiving towards newbies, he then proceeds to attack 2 people's opening posts in which they clearly state that it is a "first time" for them.
It is much more the general idea behind his posts, he tries to encourage newbies first and then attacks the first two who are "newbies" in kinds of definition.
If you cannot see the contradiction here, than there is indeed no point in further arguing with you about the case on BKE

My conclusion is that VE doesn't look particularly scummy or townie, and that BM's case on him was bad. Therefore, Acrofales defending VE and attacking BM seems good to me.
If you are town, I would advise you slow down because you are beginning to look flustered. |

I was about to post something regarding this, but I'd prefer other townies to look at the cases you use to back yourself up since I'm tired. I've made a mistake by saying the case against me was the first one, that comes from posting this much.
But I believe your cases on these people to be really weak, and am currently hoping that more notice that. Your case on BKE used the same arguments ShiaoPi used, which largely depend on the definition of noob. |

Hold Up Hold Up! I clearly said that I think solstice is not a newb. He has been playing the same amount of games as me, and at my experience level that would be a scumass post to make. He dodges responsibility and subtley confirms his towniness. Why'd he do it like that? Scum thrive off subtley in their posts making us subconsiciously move them off their radar. Hell have I been subtle? A policy and two accusations making up the just of my posting. Casual's post makes no sense from a town intent, he declares he is a dumb newb and then procedes to bandwagon me on no evidence (by him). I cant give any leway on logic if their is none. I think he is a newb scum that is trying to distance himself from the guy that said" look at newbs through this lense". And let me say again I am Not A newb
At least in my perspective so if I try to hide behind that I should be lynched. |

I am liking his case BKEXE, it makes sense and regardless of your definition of noob bk's actions don't fit his promise.
That VE self voting is a case is rediculous. He immediately unvoted himself which he wouldn't have done if he was trying to make a point like people are saying. Find real reasons to lynch scum not wifom junk like this.
I don't think the cases on BM or Acrofales are good.
Acrofales brings up a good point on BKEXE, which shows he is paying attention and trying to catch scum, seems town to me.
BM in the past always does pressure vote/reads 1, I have a null read on him currently so keeping him under wAtch is a good thing but i don't think currently he is a good target.
I would be down with the murder of BKEXE or mkmkmk right now. Headed out soon will follow up later today.
Kurumi keep those flowers watered, lest we all end up asphyxiated. |

If not, lets get to work: What are your thoughts on Acrofales? Hes bouncing all over the damn place and its only been a couple of hours since the game started. I doubt a scum would bring this much attention to himself this early on so I am leaning probably town, do you agree? What are your thoughts on VE? I can rarely read him worth a shit.

Excuse me but whre did you say that solstice is not a newb? Looked through your filter, found nothing.
Have you actually considered the possibility that he is in fact busy and so he dropped by with that post to say he is sorry in advance? Might be motivation to do just that, also check his other games, his opening is pretty similar to the games he has played and judging from that single post that he could be scum does not convince me.
I agree on your reasoning on Casual, he is on my radar as well.
I do not understand though what your "noobishness" has anything to do with the issue at hand. Nobody accused you of hiding behind noobishness so why bring it up? Until now your defense has been:
-I said solstice is not newb (no idea where that comes from...)
-I am not scum, since I made policy talk and two accusations.
Not strong to be honest. Everyone can make policytalk and the two accusation are kind of easy, solstice is gone for a while and casualman went retard/wtf-mode.

BKE: I don't want to lynch him today. To me he has been clear in saying that he wants us all to be careful in how we judge newbies. This is not the same thing as saying don't judge newbies. More, his definition of newbie is different. Apparently with 4 games played, I am not a newbie. I don't agree, but it's his opinion and he's welcome to it. He looked at my first post and casualman's vote post and did not see town intent. It doesn't matter if you agree with him, but he is following his own rules in my eyes.
Acrofales: I find it funny that you are all over Vivax for not reading the thread. If you had done a little reading yourself (see: his past games) you'd already have a pretty good idea of what Vivax is in this game.
Casualman: Do not want to lynch. I agree with ET in that it's more likely he is casual town. Someone said in a post-game of one of my previous games, quoting Ver, that mafia is a game of paradoxes. The most obvious, off-the-wall, anti-town play is probably coming from a townie. I'm not prepared to totally clear him based on this, but it gives me a bad feeling about lynching him.
Kurumi: Annoying, not scum. This may change, but it's the read I have now. Behind the in-character writing style is pro-town intent.
Here's who I would like to lynch today
mKmKmK: me being away means the case has already been made. I don't like how he thinks Kurumi is scum without providing reasons. I don't like the kleenex strength pressure he has been applying, first to NoSmurfHere, then to VE.
Katina: He (she?) hasn't really been mentioned yet, but in one post, she leads off her suspicion of BKE with the fact that VE is suspicious of him so it must be legit. She parrots the case, votes, walks away, and hasn't been heard from since. |

What I found interesting about laya's post you just quoted was the fact that he seems okay with lynching BKE, but neglects to put a vote on him as well....plus, there's ALREADY a bandwagon on BKE, so his lynch obviously has more support....so why would he rather kill Kurumi?

The reason I support a BM lynch is because he's intentionally playing obliquely and evasively. His case on me was nonsense, it's literally saying "He hopes to look town by looking too scummy to be scum, but I'm not fooled - I think he's scum trying to appear scummy so people will think he's town."
And when I gave the (completely reasonable and true) explanation of my self-vote, he responds with "You can't fool me".
When it's pointed out how ridiculous his logic is, his first response is to OMGUS and call Acro and I scumbuddies...for the crime of knowing a BS case when we see one.

Out of context dude. It doesnt make sense for me as scum to draw attention to myself as scum, look st where its got me. I think its implied: I think Im not a newb.

The case against BKE also started based on a weak claim. How the hell is one supposed to have an agenda when he's taling about policy? Should BKE have posted all lurkers and newbies or what did you expect him to do, VE?

BM's play in 53# was insane but he was scum. Its true that it draws attention to yourself, but its like lurking: it prevents you from being examined, forcing the town to play with odds as opposed to making an informed desicion. |
