I do think he goes down a little easy a little too often but to be fair, he does often get taken very aggressively when he is running hard and his fancy footwork relies on perfect balance. Flashy as hell and its annoying because it doesn't do much internationally for us but when it works and he scores everyone is happy he got a goal

Just like in the first game, Nelson Oliveira and Varela changed the pace of the game... The team just gets faster with and without the ball. Paulo Bento should start at least with Nelson Oliveira, and sub varela in as the first sub at the 60' mark if needed.

2 things about Pepe:
- I can't understand a world class team as Real Madrid will employ this beast. He does not represent fair play - and honestly, there are better defenders out there (considering Pepe gets alot of yellow and red cards)
- I can't understand why the referees aren't punishing even harder. He's just such a beast. Especially if he's angry. Thankfully, we didn't see that today.

Your opinion on him is clouded and doesnt let you see what a fantastic central defender he is. I dont see anyone in the world with his capabilities as a player for that position. I agree that his brain shuts down more often that it should, but it doesnt change the fact that he is really good as a player.
