Germany beat Holland pretty comfortably 3-0 a couple of month ago. I hope it stays that way

Think we will win IF we play with Dirk Kuyt on right and Robben on left so van Persie actually gets some balls.

Mathijsen is also fit to play.

like robben passes a ball xD we saw last game the only ball he passed he should have shoot himself and the 10 times he ran around the defence and could pass perfectly he throw the ball away with his shoots ....
and van Persie played pretty bad last game, he should have scored at least 2 goals out of all his chances...
I really liked sneiders passes they gonna be dangerous, but if Matts Hummels plays as well as in ther first game there will be no chance !

Germany 2 : 1 Netherlands my predicition gonna make some dutchmen cry tonight =P

Going to be a hard game to even think how it is going to play out. I can see Netherlands having the ball, most of it but as usual them bloody Germans, getting a 70th minute winner through Gomez/Muller and winning 1-0

There's more chance of Johan Cruyff himself coming out of retirement to start for Holland than there is of Robben actually passing the ball.

This man speaks the truth. Also I have a feeling the Dutch can book their flight home after tonight - 2-1 Germany.

Hoping for a draw so the group stays interesting, and Germany securing first rank. Holland-Portugal being the deciding match? Can't think of a better scenario.

If we lose but Portugal wins tonight, we're technically not out of it yet. 9-3-3-3 is still possible at that point.

Well on left he plays different then on right.

Ps even if we lose and Denmark loses to Portugal we could technically still advance if we beat Portugal with a high score.

I beleive its head to head before its GD in this years Euro's

Oh maybe not, this is from Wiki;

Tie-breaking criteria

If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings:

  • Higher number of points obtained in the matches played between the teams in question;
  • Superior goal difference resulting from the matches played between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal on points);
  • Higher number of goals scored in the matches played between the teams in question (if more than two teams finish equal on points);
  • If, after having applied criteria 1) to 3) to several teams, two teams still have an equal ranking, criteria 1) to 3) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the two teams in question to determine the final rankings of the two teams. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria 5) to 9) apply in the order given;
  • superior goal difference in all group matches;
  • higher number of goals scored in all group matches;
  • position in the UEFA national team coefficient ranking system
  • fair play conduct of the teams (final tournament);
  • drawing of lots

If two teams play last match in group stage, and they tie the match with same points, goals scored and goals received instead above tiebreakers, they play penalty shootout, provided no other team in the group finishes with same number of points.

Note: As all teams have a different UEFA national team coefficient, the last two tie-breakers (i.e. fair play conduct and drawing of lots) will never be applied in this tournament.

If van Persie has somehow magically learned to score for the Dutch team, and Robben gets his aim on (rather than shooting the ball everywhere except on goal) the Germans could be in trouble, but given the shoddy Dutch defense and every single one of the German attackers being better than the Danish attackers, I fear for Oranje.

Yes, but in a 9-3-3-3 situation the head to head is 3-3-3, so it's goal difference after that. Anyway it's a bit too early for that, let's wait until after tonight!

Notice where I'm from. It's going to be 6-6-0-0 after tonight... (6-4-1-0 more likely)

Here is something for the Dutch (and German Shalke fans) to warm up to!

It would be hilarious if NL-GER and POR-DEN both end in 1-0 and the next round all teams play 0-0 or 1-1.

Im pumped for this game. Im not a huge Anti-NL fan like most of the germans and I just hope for an entertaining, aggressive match where both teams want to win. It's #3 vs #4 and I want them to demonstrate that. Like a counterexample of the England - France match
But I gotta say that I'm a little biased and I think that Germany can beat Netherlands when they improve the teamplay and handle the pressure. And it would be good for us if Robben played. It seems to me that Germany always starts kinda rough but gets better during the tournament, so I'm hoping that both teams can show their full potential now.

On the other hand, this group would become pretty interesting if Germany and Denmark lose their games (both 0-1 at best :D).

Pretty sad how ze Germanz are all so anti-Holland. We're like the younger brother, 10 times smaller with 5 times as few people. Go beat up someone your own size, like Spain or something. I'd like it best if Germany and NL make it out of the group, but I don't think that's going to happen .
