Destroyed some random protoss who was really bad with blink stalkers.
I had my finals for school so I basically barely played for like 80% of the season so my acc who just made masters last season had like a 2-4 record on it and now I'm diamond again. Ah well I guess that makes my goal for this season to get masters again. But then again I don't really care so as long as I feel like I'm better 8 weeks from now than I am right now I'm happy  |

| I started playing Sc2 toward the end of the Season 7 and I finished 4th of Plat division so my current goal for the Season 8 is to finish in the top 8 of diamond. I don't know how long does a season last but im pretty confident that i'll make it. Last edit: 2012-06-14 02:21:08 |

Got back in to Masters after spending all of last season in Diamond. I don't really feel there is a whole lot of difference between high Diamond and low Masters, but it still feels good. Probably because I decided to focus on Protoss rather than continue to play Random. My Terran (especially TvZ) has really been weighing me down when I play Random. I also find that while the difference isn't too large in other matchups, my ZvP's are really weird when I play Random (no FFE), so instead of picking Random I've been picking whichever race I want to play.
My goals are to get my Terran/Zerg to the point where I can safely say I am Master level with all three races. I don't expect to be able to reach high Master with the amount of time I am able to put into the game and each race individually, but I would like to be consistent with all of them. |

Made Master's after being in diamond for 5 or more months. To be honest I could of done it a lot faster had I played more. I think I had under 40 wins for season 7, and I generally played about half masters players and half high diamond players, so my mmr was always at a low masters level. My strategy to improving was never to grind out games, it might work for some, but I always found myself getting frustrated and tired after a few games in a row. It comes down to watching A LOT of streams and tournaments and analyzing what the players are doing and trying to imitate it. If you think it's how fast they play, then try your best to play fast, just as an example.
My goal this season is to rework all of my builds. They're all pretty stale and could use some adjusting to adapt to the current meta game. Opening reactor hellion in TvZ, for example, seems to be going out of style, and I can see why it wouldn't be as useful anymore thanks to the recent queen buff. I also really want to improve my multi tasking in TvP. As far as ladder goes I'll shoot for top 25, but I'm not too concerned about that, simply because I know I won't be playing enough to get that high.

| I made diamond today (finally, after a race switch and about 2 and a half season being inactiv). Tomorrow will be my last exam for the my summer vacation, so i hope i will mass game then, but the ladder fear is strong with me |

| I had over a 50% win ratio and was 500+, and I got demoted :/ I was feeling really good about making Masters on this account, but I guess that won't happen this season. Maybe I hit a hiccup in the system? I sure hope so. |

I am so depressed went down to plat again  . Have gone up and down from plat and diamond this season. It makes me sad to be demoted once again since I have played so much his season. I'd hit master players two times last season so I really thought I would be able to hold on. But I guess I get to upset if I hit a losing streak went 2-10 and then the next day I went like 7-5 and got demoted when I played my placement . I won like 280 games this season, it a shame since I really want to improve and get a promotion to masters in 2 season or something. But I guess I lack talent and/or proper way to train.
My goals this season: 1. To get promoted and stabilize in Diamond. 2. Get more comfortable against late game P with Brood and infestor army. 3. Get a hang of midgame ZvZ.

My season goals are to play genuinely good and to do so through playing only 1-2 hours a day. I was top 8 master's last season before I took a huge break.
By "genuinely good" I mean that I must see the game like a pro would, and I must have solid mechanics. Brood war pros have amazing mechanics but still aren't very good. Now, imagine me. Shitty mechanics, shitty scouting, shitty gamesense. It really puts things into perspective and helps me draw out a better plan to improve than I had before. |

I won my placement match (putting me in masters) and my opponent left without gging, then msged me about me being a lucky random dickhead. So we played again and he left at the start. And again. And again.
Got to start off this season by 4-0ing a guy, simply because he kept ragequitting. I even tell my race to people who say gl hf; that's all he had to do  Feels good to start as #1 in division (even though it was all luck).Last edit: 2012-06-14 02:45:00 |

| got demoted from plat to gold in late season 7... will try to refine mechanics and work on a decent macro, also try to make better use of scouting information. haven't played my placement yet, but I don't think I will be back at plat :/ But I'll surely be better in the long run |

New player here. Despite having had the game for a couple weeks now, I never did my placement matches for the end of season 7, too busy trying to improve mechanically yet (been doing filter's bronze benchmark and I always hit 49 SCVs because I get supply blocked >.<) and also life stuff.
Goals:
1. Stop getting supply blocked aaaagh
2. Get an actual build order and do it very well (mass marines doesn't count)
3. Silver league. Am I setting my target low? Maybe. I do want to make it to the top eventually, but baby steps. |

yeah...after the ladder reset i got to plat again...then i won 3 games...and now I´m DIA! Man, i´m soo happy at the moment! :D
And so have no goals for this season anymore...or maybe i have...
- Get 3 good Strategys for every Matchup and train them mutch.

I feel you brother, I've been Diamond for ~6 seasons before I got promoted to masters last week on both my accounts... Keep getting better, don't think about being promoted, focus on being confortable in every match up, never rage about balance, you'll get there! That's what cut it for me - when I finally stopped thinking too much about being promoted. |

| My personal target for the season 8 start, play all 5 placement matches (forced myself not to play in the last season) while being drunk, today, but I have to finish the current beer, and the next one and so forth till there are no beers left. I haven't played SC2 since Season 3. I used to be a masters zerg back then but the game has changed so much I'd probably be goldish now.
My goal is to play sc2 again but try as protoss, just for kicks. I'd like to play as much as possible and reach masters again but I think that might be too lofty a goal for 1 season.
big goal: start playing again and reach masters as P this time.
realistic goal: start playing again and put in the time to get masters with P within 3 seasons.
