13-6 is 13/19, or 68.4%. Winning 13 out of 19 games played.

14-7 is 14/21, or 66.7%. Winning 14 out of 21 games played.

Therefore, 13-6 is a higher winning percentage than 14-7.

I'm not sure if NASL takes into account other factors or variables, but I think the comparison of those numbers alone should at least be made clear.

Any official statement here? How were ties broken last season? Where is the official rulebook for the NASL?

It is not an advantage over other tournaments when every few matchdays there's a lot of red text on the page explaining what exactly went wrong this time and how many games weren't played. You can tune in every week to a watch of a player you follow, or you can tune in only to realize he didn't show up and/or the match was postponed.

It would have been an advantage over other tournaments if it actually worked like it was imagined, but it doesn't work, and it doesn't work because it's extremely impractical and impossible to schedule. So it turns out to be a disadvantage instead.

Feel free to go back over the season and actually work out how many games were forfeited over the season. I'll help you out a bit. For the MLG Spring Arena... 1 match was forfeited by Ryung.

At this point and time we are missing 3 matches, with 1 specifically scheduled for over the next day or so. You are just ridiculously overplaying something that has not been a significant factor in the league this season.

Last season they had tiebreaker games after the season was over to decide placing.

gogo hasu kick demu out !!! (or at least into the tiebrakers)

I never really liked demuslim and I always thought he was way overhyped but that he was so unprofessional too is new to me.

imo he shouldn't complain and instead try to actually win vs dimaga instead...

So much hate. But guess what, you're wrong. It's impossible for Hasu to kick Demuslim out. Even if he 2-0s HerO, he will still be ranked lower than Demuslim with +6 instead of +7. So... Yeah, nope.

That loss must have been really tough on Nony's mentality if he just signed off Battle.net after losing.

Not cool of demuslim. I'm sure there was a miscommunication though xeris narrative sounds more credible given the hectic schedule and understandable cutting-loose later on that demuslim had going on.

twitter. forum posts. a vlog. all public outlets that would spotlight and get the desired attention any issues a pro player of demuslim's standing would care to bring up. the community has shown how much it deeply craves such drama. using in game chat for that purpose is ridiculous and unacceptable.

didn't demuslim use those outlets? Did you read his comment in this thread? It seems like there was a miscommunication or something like that.

Feel i need to talk about this, as Xeris is saying some true statements, and leaving a hell of a lot out.

Yes i spoke to Xeris in person multiple times throughout the week of MLG. Our first encounter was a "hello how you doing" sort of thing. In which, turned into a talk about NASL - (this was prior to any game being played at MLG, infact was maybe the first day i arrived.) - i specifically asked about when my matches would be played, and he said after MLG, and i then responded by saying, i'm travelling around after mlg to gigabyte, after that isn't a problem? To which a response of yes was in place, i smiled alot and asked "are you sure?" multiple times, i actually think 3 times since usually NASL don't change things. As far as i was set, things were sorted.

The final night of MLG after the finals, needless to say everyone got tipsy, i opened up my email the next morning and it said i had a match of the tomorrow. This according to my prior conversation with Xeris, was a complete mistake.
I tried contacting him several times with emails. (If anybody remembers my troubles with NASL previously, Season 1 - they excluded me from the league because in my "application video" i had a cast around my elbow, i was more than fit to play, but their reasoning rather than asking me am i fit or able, was just to look at the video and say no.) Obviously this is a sour memory, but more related to the topic at Hand is this:

I contacted NASL in season 2, when i was to play Hero, i messaged NASL saying it was impossible for me to play at a certain date, and i'd like it postponed 2 days later, or when ever fit for hero. - This message DID get through, but the day of the match, i got a defloss and a 200 dollar penalty. I messaged, they responded by saying they had no message what so ever, and it was my fault for not following up with several more messages, and that they contacted EG and they couldn't get cold of me either. 1. It was actually EG who contacted NASL, so that was a pretty gnarley excuse in the first place. 2. - i had evidence of the message going through. After the incident kind of unwinded, i actually wanted the penalty fine lifted, in which i was still walkovered, they said no. I thought it was all a little unjust.

So this time i messaged xeris several more times, after no response, I finally wrote on twitter, slightly embarrassing him i guess to get back to me ASAP. He did so, but only because i went public with it. This obviously is NOT the way things should be done, and for that lack of "sportsmanship" i do apologize, but the amount of shady doings that go on without the public knowing about them is atrocious. So after a few emails back and forth about "you told me prior to MLG things were ok, what went wrong?" with a retort along the lines of "i never said that, we can let you play at the NASL office."

Obviously i was a little mad, and acted a little unjust, i'm just pretty sick of this league shitting on me at every opportunity it possibly can, especially when i know for a fact, and so does he, that said conversation took place.

Xeris strikes again? Lol just trolling.

Shitty situation for DeMuslim. Obviously there was a misunderstanding :[

NASL is the last major tournament for the "entertainment" players. (Mostly foreigners, well known and underperforming). If they want to grow and reach more people, they have to step up the quality of play and the handling of players regarding incidents like this.
I really like the improved quality of play in most tournaments due to the better selection of players (MLG11: low level players blocking pool spots for better ones --> MLG12: stacked open bracket with GSL level pool play / GSL: faster "rotation rate" between Code SAB).
--> The Entertainment Players (TM) should really consider how they want to present themselves, skill becomes slowly more important than popularity.

They're having more turnover in terms of players, 12 players out completely to be replaced by 12 new ones. 4 of those new ones are:

MvP.sC or MvP.Galaxy
coL.Killer or MvP.Finale
Lemondogs.Forsen or NMxMaSa
Empire.Beastyqt or Gosu.IceCream

Nah, a minor instance of possible bm in an insignificant NASL match doesn't draw (or warrant) much attention. Nothing shit storm worthy.

I guess what I meant is that I think if he weren't on TL there would be less reason to care, not more, because from Liquid you'd expect better.

It's troubling, but it doesn't seem like TL is going to do anything about it, which is a shame. If you show up for a match, there honestly isn't any excuse to quit halfway. Even Idra had the "decency" to 6 pool, which was also immature and unprofessional but at least he played the matches out. Just my thoughts.

Yes, he has to win a major tournament. It's just that in my opinion, he doesn't deserve hype and people believing in him, cause he doesn't really practice at all compared to the ones working hard. We can empathize for him having depression, that's about it.

This is one of the most ridiculous viewpoints I have ever seen lol. I'm curious how recent does a pro player need to win a tournament before I am allowed to cheer for and believe in him? Grubby has never won a major tournament like MLG, is it OK with you if I cheer for him when he plays? Or does he not deserve it because he has never won a major tournament? This logic is downright stupid.
All we have the decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
