Here's a video I found on youtube. I was thinking of buying this, but it looks very similar to the original jug blade. The spin is nearly identical, and the crit animation adds a tiny flame that is very hard to see. Overall, it looks underwhelming. For $5, I really don't think it's worth it.

Is this actually what the sword's effects look like in-game? Can anyone confirm this? Some pictures of the item in action would be great.

Yes it is. Not sure what you're expecting, the guy made an actual gameplay video..

I liked Dota before it was Mainstream.

One sword has a green spin effect and oanother has a more yellow effect than odachi i think. If you want more colors get those.

The effect is very visible in game.
Also, never pay for anything. Just trade for it.

There's no shame in trading or buying the items, in my opinion. Nothing wrong with buying a cosmetic item or two, supporting a game you like, and getting something in return for it.

I think the effect is purposely not that flashy because Valve probably does not want cosmetic items to interfere with gameplay, and a super flashy sword can be pretty distracting.
