Tinker hasn't been seen much, and Death Prophet is falling out of favor recently, but I will consider Storm Spirit and Sand King. |

He won't, I believe the 3 new heroes are auto bans at Dreamhack. |

The three new heroes are soft-banned for Dreamhack because the teams haven't gotten enough practice with them in the client yet. |

Thank you very much for this writeup, it clearly explained the basics that I sorely lacked from having only watched progames with little to no commentary (and no previous moba background). 5/5
Man, I've been trying to find sth apart from BW to follow and at first I found DotA to be somewhat boring and extremely confusing - 5v5 fight into ohhh massive amount of flashlights (in LoL it would be ponies and rainbows) was very hard to understand for a BW spectator. Then it got really interesting with a couple of good games, though still very mysterious. Now I recognize most of the heroes used and their ulties, so it's better :D Still I had no idea what items did and why heroes were chosen. This goes straight to bookmarks, muchos grazias senor.
+ Show Spoiler +I was dead sure that heroes came with 4 skills plus stat boosts, since that's what wc3 heroes were like. So imagine my confusion when I saw someone with 6 skills in the skillbar. He had no special items that would explain that too... Was sure it was a bug :D Then I saw invoker with some skills (and useless floating things over his head) and 5min later he would be using completely different skill(s). I felt trolled to say the least ^_^ Of course using a wiki would be a surrender to the DotA camp, something I wanted to postpone as long as I could xD |

| Cool thread, I played LoL a lot, while never(but for maybe 3 games) playing original DOTA and by description alone this game seems to be much more fun. probably I'll watch a little and definately try it when it comes out. |
