Internet connection randomly shutting off

This has been going on for a while now, and I still have no clue as to what to do. My ISP is Comcast, and I've been randomly having my internet service drop completely, requiring me to reset my modem. I thought it was the modem, but I've been through at least 5 different modems (all from Comcast), and I've had the same problems. Their customer support did very little in terms of helping the problem. I'm tired of being dropped from SC2 and LoL games. Does anyone know what I should do? Have someone from Comcast come check it out? Get a different ISP?
Thank you in advance if you can help me with this annoying issue. I'll answer any questions for clarity if any are asked.

Call your ISP. Comcast support (at least business, I've got no experience with comcast residential) is ridiculously prompt at fixing issues.

If you have to reset your modem to fix it the problem obviously isn't on your end, so yeah, just complain. Take sure you them what you have to do to fix it and how many modems you've been through.

I have Suddenlink and this happens to me from time to time. Cable internet, guessing Comcast is the same (since they bash DSL). I have a splitter attaching both my modem and tv to the same coax lead. Often I'll have to unhook that and plug my modem directly into the coax feed. Something about the signal strength degrading too much due to the splitter (going from about 95% to 75-80% at best). The Send light on the modem will just blink and blink and blink and blink. Reset the modem, nothing happens. Don't know if any of this will help, but try, if you do, removing anything between the modem and the coax coming into the room.
