I made a map similar to Hextower, (same 6 player map concept) But I made it quite smaller, and the center different. What do you think?

Still a melee map for me. O_o; if that's the case, then the dual site with the custom watchtower should be custom too... but its not the case. |

I still think you should make the playable area a little bigger.. like someone mentioned, you dont have enough "equal" airspace for each base.. which makes a difference.
Use a "small" ground area.. but open the bounding box of the map allowing more "aireal space" |

I have no fly zones, giving each bases equal air space essentially.
I dont know what you[re talking about the ground area. |
