Terrans can mass ravens, I want to mass arbiters!

Arbiter > Tempest! (we all know the tempest is bad)

The Arbiter is one of the highest technology units in the Protoss arsenal. It's a support unit with a passive ability which cloaks any units underneath it. The Arbiter does have an attack; however, this attack isn't very useful, as its low damage means it takes quite some time to kill most units. In addition to the the cloaking field, the Arbiter has two different widely used spells, stasis field & recall.

And who misses aggressive recalls? ^_^

Stasis field would be a good supplement for vortex, and less OP, support the arbiter!

I'm assuming you mean oracle and not tempest right? (Tempest is the 22 range siege unit right? Not similar at all D: )

That would make the game less original, and more similar to Broodwar, when I don't think it's necessary.

Arbiter doesn't fulfil any of the roles that the tempest does, so I don't see how introducing it instead of the tempest will be a good idea. Protoss already has quite a few casters too (HT, sentry, oracle), so adding a 4th would make it have double the casters of Terran or Zerg.

Haha, yeah, I was about to say... we DO have the arbiter! It's just been split in two between the oracle and the mothership now :D

I don't think Protoss need any mobility anymore. Warpgate and Warpprism are enough. More like BW =/= better.

I agree that the arbiter should have been brought back, but it's too late at this point. Though, the best thing we could hope for is they take off the "building watch production" from the oracle and put a very small stasis field on it instead. Keep in mind in SC2 stasis would be INCREDIBLY strong if it was the same as in SC1, it would need to be dramatically decreased in cast range and area due to clumping. Though! The oracle would be able to fulfil this easily as it is a FAST unit that could pop in stasis and pop back out to the cloaking.

I feel if those two spells ended up on the oracle along with the mineral thing toss would get back a lot of the "strength" and strategy it had in place in BW.

Wrong game. Why was a thread made on a unit that's not even in the game? What is your point making this thread? Will you really e-mail blizzard asking them to put the arbiter in the game?

Some unit, I believe the oracle, will be able to do the same, temporarily.

You already have warp prisms and warp gates to do the job just fine. I like the way they are handling things for HotS.
