The Strategist is a netcast dedicated to teaching the game of StarCraft to players of all levels. It emphasizes its focus on teaching builds; from the basics of the build order, to the transitions and adjustments through scouting. The show focuses heavily on teaching players the ability to execute, identify, counter, and learn Starcraft 2 builds.
To help kick start community awareness of the show launch, The Strategist is pleased to announce The Strategist Open Tournament. In keeping with tradition, this tournament offers both pros and those still aspiring to break into an eSports career the chance to fight for a great cash prize online. OctanePro - OctanePro emerged on the StarCraft 2 scene in 2010 volunteering his time and talent for the Starcraft 2 Rebirth Tournament community. Casting for the community along side producing their daily tournaments. Following 2010 OctanePro moved on to support The StarCast Show. While volunteering his time towards helping the staff move production from audio only to video using the broadcasting tools provided by Twitch.tv. OctanePro also started up a weekly Monday night King of the Hill series focusing on casting for the community surrounding The Starcast Show. Finally after lending a hand anywhere he can, OctanePro has decided to branch out on his own to bring you The Strategist.
BuDDhA - BuDDhA began his competitive gaming career in 2001 as a FPS gamer who slowly got in to StarCraft: Brood War. When StarCraft 2 hit beta, BuDDhA began playing as Zerg and made it to Platinum.
