Hi Everyone
Recently I've been experiencing several random bluescreens (while i'm watching streams, reading teamliquid reports... but never while playing or heavy usage of the computer), here are the informations related to the last one:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen System Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Regional Parameters Identifier: 2060
BCCode: 1000007e BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005 BCP2: FFFFF80002E810C5 BCP3: FFFFF880033BD5A8 BCP4: FFFFF880033BCE00 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 256_1
File helping to describe the problem:
http://www.putlocker.com/file/F7B8164DBFB9F7CD (I swear this file is clean...But i understand you can doubt about it, if you have any request for a safer upload site or such, dont hesitate)
Thank you!Last edit: 2012-06-16 23:26:35 |

You'll probably know this already but mostly when you're encountering lots of bluescreens it's a hardware related problem (or driver related, but this one is out if it's a recent problem ofcourse).
I was once in a similar position and swapped some hardware around until I found one of my RAM's was faulty. This is pretty general information and of limited help I know, but I can't help you more with your specific problem than google can. |

Hi,
I downloaded the dump file and BlueScreenViewer says files ntoskrnl.exe and Wdf01000.sys caused the STOP error. ntoskrnl.exe is the kernel image for Windows and Wdf01000.sys is Kernel Mode Driver Framework Runtime.
Looks a lot like a driver issue to me. Try tunning SFC /SCANNOW , it will check and repair any critical Windows system files, if needed.
By OS Version and dumb file I'd say you are running on Windows 7 x64, right? Can you declare your computer specs? Is there any new components you've lately installed? Is the blue screen code always 0x1000007e?

Actually it's the main computer of my family (building mine in a matter of weeks), so i don't know precisely (Mobo, Ram brand, ...) But As far as I know, it's an i5, with an AMD Radeon HD5600series, which is there since the very beginning, and 8gigs of ram. We are running on Windows 7 x64 indeed.
One of the issue i could see is that we have a dog who loses lots of hairs, so i might have to clean my computer. I will run a driver scan this evening, although i've installed nothing new lately.
Thank you very much!
[Edit: I don't know how to check the blue screen codes associated with the previous BSoD] |

Hi,
Piriform is an awesome software company releasing awesome software, like Speccy. You can view various information about your computer, including temperatures and all that good stuff. Another good application to view temperatures is CPUID's HWMonitor, check it out aswell. Check the temperatures with either program and see if they are unusually high (you might as well want to report them here).
All previous dumb files are located at C:\WINDOWS\MiniDump (given that your Win7 is on C: drive). If there is more than the file you have already uploaded, you might as well want to upload the other files. |

Hi
You should visit www.techsupportforum.com They are experts on BSODs. They helped me with everything there. And they even help with Overclock. |

Hi,
Had a quick look at those, there are several STOP errors caused by Ntfs.sys (NTFS file system driver). Those in my opinion it refers to hard drive issue; try tunning chkdsk /r and post the output here. |

Hi,
Without really doing a research, what I would do is: Run..
- SFC /SCANNOW
- chkdsk /r
- Antivirus and antimalware softwares (from Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to GMER)
- Memtest86+ (the one you install to USB flash drive and boot), with each RAMs
- Check temperatures
- Re-install all drivers with latest versions
(maybe not in the order listed above, but do that all^^)
And if none of that works, I'd reinstall Windows and see if the problem still occurs. Im watching Dreamhack right now, hard to concentrate solving computer problems, hope you understand
If you have problems to execute any of those tasks, let me know. If you want someone else's opinion on this or better answers, I accept that.
I'll keep an eye on this thread! |

Skip to memtest86+ and throw in some Prime95 blend mode torture test. Those BSODs are too random for a driver/disk/malware problem to be likely.
If you've got more than one stick of RAM per channel, remove the excess sticks. If you're overclocking, don't.
