So I was interested in playing through the Starcraft 1 campaigns so I bought the 15$ Starcraft Anthology on battle.net. It installs fine but when I run the game I just get a black screen. I can hear the sounds and click things, though.
I've manually patched the game to the latest patch and I've tried running the game in several different compatibility options to no avail as well as checking all the box under "settings" as suggested by several threads I've found online.
I did find a thread on TL regarding an official registry fix of sorts from Blizzard but the page linked in the thread isn't there anymore and I can't find it navigating around the Blizzard support page.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Does your computer hangs up, ie. do you have to restart it after it's black? Or you can close it from task manager?
Anyways, try downloading Chaoslauncher and then enable w-mode plugin. Your BW will start in tiny 640x480 window which you can double the size by pressing Alt + F9. It's not the prettiest solution, but BW has problems on Win7 which are best solved with window mode.
Enjoy playing campaign, it's awesome!

I have laptop with switchable graphics (AMD 6770m and the integrated intel 4000hd) and it only seems to give me a black screen when i'm running the amd graphics. It actually runs fine on the intel graphics so I can just do that for now but it's a little inconvenient to run it because I like to have Diablo 3 or Starcraft 2 running as well.
Any idea why it would give me a black screen with the 6770m?
