Looks pretty nice. Only thing I'm worried about is the price point. I'd imagine getting close to $1000 on the upper end model. Let's see if Microsoft proves me wrong.
Wow this thing looks amazing, I can't believe its going to have an i5 in it. Also really like the keyboard because to be perfectly honest, the ipad keyboard is not as functional as a regular keyboard. This will be some good stuff provided Microsofts windows 8 doesnt suck ass like vista, which could very likely be the case. The best part of Apple is the OS after all.

I am certainly interested i5 version. It might (finally) be the tablet that fulfills a lot of my needs. I'm most looking forward to battery life specs.
The only problem is that the i5 version will be very expensive and the ARM will barely have any software. It's going to be really hard for the average consumer to know what a "windows 8 tablet" means.
They made a good decision to pre-install office on the ARM version to show that it's more than your average media-consumption tablet. Another very good decision was to include the cover because it makes using legacy applications on the x86 version a lot easier.
It looks very good but the price of the x86 version will probably mean that I won't buy one (the ARM one negates one of Windows strongest points, so I won't be getting that either).

You are going to have to expand on that one. Their "best part" always appeared to be the user-experience to me. Their OS seemed rather unremarkable to me.
With the keyboard it makes it better than a netbook!!!OMG my dreams come true!! while it is true that the i5 version will prob be expensive, it will probably be worth it too. I think it will cost around 400-500 but its basically a weightless computer!
I am not really sure what I would actually want to do with it, but that pen is intriguing. I read somewhere that it would be working with 600 dpi resolution, so it could be basically perfect. At the same time, the screen is 1920x1080 on the x86 version. I actually really want that tablet pretty badly. With the keyboard and the pen, it could replace a notebook, even though the screen is so small compared to what I normally think a notebook needs (I normally want 15").

The price will be supposedly comparable to tablets or ultrabooks with similar hardware. That makes the ARM tablet perhaps $600, but the PC like tablet with the i5 will be $1000 or more?

If the i5 version cost 400-500, there would be absolutely no reason to own any other tablet. Expect somewhere around 800+.

I had this idea like 2 years ago. Too bad I'm 16 and can't start a company yet. :[ It's heartbreaking to see so many of my ideas be used before I can even get out of school. QQ
Anyways, this is pretty cool. But don't iPads already have keyboards you can buy that attach like this?

Yes, there are iPad cases that have a keyboard.

They are wireless, at least my coworker's apple setup is all wireless.
The Asus Transformer is the only other machine that I can recall with the keyboard "dock", though it serves more purpose than just being a keyboard.

Looks nice, but what if I don't want to use the keyboard and stand at the moment? I didn't see the video showing the keyboard flipping behind or anything.
EDIT: Oh, I see. The keyboard attaches through magnets.

yea i made a wrong comparison when i was looking at the specs. I dont think this will compete with other tablets thought, since this is way more than a tablet. i might say that this will compete with ultrabooks.
