Since i was a young kid Horror movies has been a big interest of mine. I've seen pretty much everything and i'm going to put up a sick horror movie list for you guys just too see if someone has something that might be interesting for me. I'm not "rating" the most sick movie ever but im just gonna do a list. Edit: The list is not "regular" Horror flicks compared to "Scream,Descent,Orphan,Ringu,Grudge, I know what u did last summer etcetcetc "

Then there are those movies people think is scary like "saw,hostel,bunnygame, paranormal activity etcetc" Does doesn't fall into the category as horrifying and terrifying enough to be in the list actually. In the horror/gore genre there are many good movies too i'd like to discuss but i'm just trying to find movies that will blow my mind atm. I might of left out some movies in the list but those are the ones i rememberd just now.
Edit: Ok some people actually thinks that the movies i listed is either good or just "regular horror flicks" like Saw or Hostel. They are not... These films are mostly produced to shock people. The films above is beyond sick or gory. If some people in this thread have seen "Murder set pieces, Irreversible, A Serbian Film, Grotesque, August Undergrond series" And saying that Scream or lets say "The Descent" is something what a like you are totally wrong. People saying that they got scared of those movies is totally fine but i'm just saying that the movies in this list could pretty much be the "sickest movies ever made" I'm trying to search for movies like these some of them are not that gory like "The Girl Next Door" but it's very sick and Gummo/Happiness are not even slightly gory but they are still sick movies.
Human Centipede1 and 2 are not even gory at all and doesn't even closely fall into the category of the sickest movies ever made. If you think so you should watch these flicks and come back to this thread saying otherwise. Of course i can agree that the movie is twisted when they want to make a centipede with just humans but be realistic people? Did we see anything of it in the movie? Answer is No.

"horror" movies really don't frighten me, basically because I understand that they are meant to scare, and my mind just puts a defense up but thrillers get me because it has such a compelling story.
And I don't really think you have the general right to partition the genre as "your scary movie opinion" and then wipe out hostel/paranormal because you don't think it fits... Sure, paranormals bad, but again it might have been terrifying to someone else.
So what's the point of this thread though, just awe at your collective list? I don't see the discussion value, since you are only accepting the ones you deem scary. |

Always wondered what kind of people thought that these gore movies (and pictures for those browsing 4chan, dem sickly people) are interesting to watch. I generally hate everything with suspense in it from Chainsaw Massacres to film about video tapes and of course much more horrific pictures.
I did however watch A Serbian Film a year ago and that whole "lost faith in humanity" is what comes to my mind when I think back on it. In school we were taught in my media class that there's a deeper meaning behind all cinemas but I just can't find out what the deeper meaning or even logic is in making these kind of movies. |

I understand, and I have seen around half (give or take) of your listed movies, the point is that these are "your" listed movies that are "horror" but anyone else lists something they find terrifying and it doesn't add up to your own personal ideal flick than its just trash. |

No not at all. You haven't given me any example of what your trying to say. I'm just giving an example of the most sickest movies i've seen and saying that hostel/saw isn't in that category. Well horror might be a little bit weak explaining these flicks but i bet you know what i mean by this list.

I understand, and I have seen around half (give or take) of your listed movies, the point is that these are "your" listed movies that are "horror" but anyone else lists something they find terrifying and it doesn't add up to your own personal ideal flick than its just trash.
No not at all. You haven't given me any example of what your trying to say. I'm just giving an example of the most sickest movies i've seen and saying that hostel/saw isn't in that category. Well horror might be a little bit weak explaining these flicks but i bet you know what i mean by this list.
I'm trying to say, what are we discussing? Rating your specific movie likes? or everyones horror likes, because you've basically listed movies that generally have very bad plots with a lot of gore so they can make money off it...
Do we discuss your movie choices, or our horror choices? if it's just yours, than this thread has very little value...

Of course people can share their moments with movies they think are horrifying for sure. But i'm also trying to find movies that are sick as in the list i put up. You must agree that those movies are in a category of themselves. |
