When I was still a teenager, the TimeSplitters series brought me so much joy that I still want to cry when I think back to those times. Sadly, Crytek decided to let the series die after they bought Free Radical. But I know that there are many people out there who want another TimeSplitters. TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect were some of the most enjoyable multiplayer FPS on the Playstation 2. It just was mindless fun. I eagerly waited for a 4th title but it never came!
But this is not how it should end! No, I am not alone, in fact I am almost certain that there a many people out there, who wait for a continuation of the series.
In a recent interview, Crytek chief executive Cevat Yerli spoke about the possibility of a new TimeSplitters, but he says he is not sure about the backing of the community.
Let's show him that we really want this! Just a few weeks ago, a new Facebook initiative was founded with the sole purpose to show Crytek how much we want it. The founder of the iniative says he is in close contact to Crytek and he was even backed by the famous composer Graeme Norgate, who made the soundtracks for the TimeSplitters games. He will compose a TS-style victory theme for us, if the iniative gets 100k likes. Yerli said, he will seriously take notice of this when it reaches 1 million likes. But we can get more, I know it.
I am hesitant to advertise something like this on this board, but I think that the end justifies the means in this case: Go on this link: http://www.facebook.com/Timesplitters4PLZ and like it if you want to have your voice heard.
Of course, this shouldn't be the only purpose of this thread, so tell what you think about TimeSplitters, how much you want a 4th installment or tell everyone about all the little joyous stories you experienced when you played TimeSplitters. This series was just so much fun, even against bots.
I know that there are quite a few people on this board who are rather young and who might not even know what I'm talking about, when I mention "TimeSplitters". I can only recommend it warmly to you. Games like these are not made in these modern times. TimeSplitters was about fun and it didn't take itself seriously at all. Graphics didn't mean everything.

Soooo many good times playing Timesplitters 2 & 3 with my siblings and neighbors. It was definitely a shooter that didn't take itself seriously (at all). However, now that I'm older and I don't really have the time to spend on it..
I can't help but feel the only reason I want to see a Timesplitters 4 is for nostalgia reasons.
I spent a ridiculous amount of time playing Timesplitters 2&3 as well. So many unlockables for 3,,I never even got them all. That game was also HILARIOUS along with fun. The campaign was just great.

I'm not at all a console fan, but even I have to admit that the Timesplitters games were extremely well done. Mission co-op in addition to DM multiplayer mode were really awesome. Great selection of weaspons too.
One of them includeded a custom level editor too, iirc.
I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly's a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Timesplitters was probably my most played FPS besides Halo. It really helped me get in to gaming. It was just straight up a FUN game. I haven't played a game on my console in a couple years, but I would absolutely pull it out for Timesplitters.
Oh, and flaming monkeys chasing after you > Zombies. Any day of the week.

This game had one of the best story lines and multiplayer of all time, not forgetting of course Conker's Bad Fur Day with both Single and Multiplayer being absolutely baller
'Guys I don't want to alarm you right now... But I'm floating....'
Timesplitters was THE BEST console FPS of the generation.
Every piece of it's gameplay was fantastic, right down to the awesome mapmaker and minigames (knocking off zombies heads using other zombies decapitated heads and a gravity arm anyone? Sure beats Nazi Zombies.)
@TheToast:
They all included in-depth level editors. These could be used for campaign levels or for Melee Maps.

I'm embarrased by my past actions and even more ashamed of my present thoughts and future endeavors to clear my name.

They weren't so indepth, but for a console game it was really good. I've liked the page but it seems to be going rather slow ):

Not so slow, the campaign is rather young but it grows steadily. I wish everyone would spread the word, because there have to be well over 100k TimeSplitters fans out there!
Speaking about the map editor. That was absolutely baller. I remember constructing story maps where a random door would trigger zombies spawning really far behind you and while you were exploring you suddenly had dozens of zombies coming after you.
Oh man... so much fun. So many memories.

I don't understand why people get hyped about this stuff anymore, when has a reboot of an old beloved franchise done anything but shatter expectations?
