Hello everyone! I just got a huge problem with my blackwidow ultimate. I dont know how it happened, but my F key doesnt work at all. and when I type "E" it just spams efffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff..... until I press any other key. I chekced out the blackwidow ultimate config programm, but it says that every key is set to normal and I dont have any makros. So I dont really know whats going on 
I thought that I accidently created a makro in some sort, but it doesnt show me any makro in the config programm.
did some of u guys have/had the problem aswell and do you guys know how to fix it?

| No idea what's going on here, but my general recommendation would be to delete all razer keyboard software and drivers off your computer and try and get fresh drivers from Razer. Just have to hope it is software and not hardware at this point. |

| I bought a blackwidow from Amazon and it's a piece of shit i sent it back. The set up of the macro keys fucks up the normal keyboard and you're going to hit wrong keys and keystrokes, and yes some of the keys are just crap. Send it back. |

the thing is that I did that before, I uninstalled everything. but the thing is that it CANT be hardware, because I just got to the bathroom, and when I came back everything was messed up.
also: I disabled the "F" key now and it seems like the e key works just fine, but when I disable the e key and activate the f key, nothing happens. I am really confused, the good thing is that I can get free warranty, but if its software it will just happen with the other blackwidow aswell : / |

| I think it's a hardware glitch, i bought a lycosa awhile ago and it would do this and then all the keys would stop working and i would have to unplug then plug back in to get them to work again but they would randomly stop working. My blackwidow i bought a little while ago is perfectly fine though. |

Sounds like there may be some overlapping in the wiring or something like that if it only happens when the f is enabled.

Ugh i lost a few games beacuse I would hit M1 instead of escape to cancel a hatch, I ended up missing the hatch cancel 2 games in a row because of them, I ended up binding M1 to escape and then m2-m5 to tab caps shift and ctrl. | You can try removing the keycap (not recommended by Razer [lol]) & gently blow compressed air at the switch itself into the crevices and such of F key. Almost sounds like a sticky switch. Do you have the newest FIRMWARE? |

Hi,
You've messed up the hardware macro for the key. I'm sorry not to be able to give you a solid answer but I'm pretty sure that's the problem. Have a look at the instructions on how to use the "fn" key and how to set up macros on the fly, you might find your answer there. Otherwise, a hardware problem I'm afraid...

| A similar thing happened to my old Razer Tarantula, after I accidently spilled a bottle with water over it My W key got fcked up and it began to write E all the time. Was rly annoying, maybe you also accidently spilled a liquid over it. Otherwise I dont know. |

I just cleaned my blackwidow and everything is fine now. cant really understand what the problem was, because there was no dirt at all, I just put the keys out, cleaned the switches a bit with air and thats all. but thanks everyone for helping  |

I dont know why people still buy the Blackwidow. There are 2 dozen blackwidow issues threads to every one about a problem with a filco or other board. Dont be suprised if there is a hardware issue, and you have to send it back and get a new keyboard

Probably because it is the most widely used mechanical and from probably the most recognisable brand. So problems would be reported more often. I have had none so far though. |
