Definitely enjoyed it, and well worth a $10. The only thing I disliked is, as mentioned, a lack of direction in the development of the documentary. It feels like a list of info.

On the other hand I really do love it all. The information really lets you get to know the players. In fact, I almost wish there was more of the players just hanging out than interviews. Production is great, Huk at the end is a nice touch, and the whole rivalry thing and the theme of making these good players great stands out a lot.

Thank you!

Edit: a comment i forgot to mention is that I wish their ages would have been mentioned

Pretty enjoyable documentary. It was interesting enough that my brother sat down with me and watched the whole thing, and he does not follow the SC2 scene actively on his own.

I think this documentary is really for TL fans... I agree with the lack of direction... I'm at the 13th min and close to falling asleep

I thought HuK was the only good "storyline" in the documentary. Overall expected more from this as whole, hoped for behind the scenes team synergy scenes and preparation for tournaments etc material. Yet I can still appreciate it being released, it just didn't show me anything new which I didn't already know about Team Liquid's roster.

I enjoyed it greatly. But this is not something that i would show to someone who is not part of the community. I wanted more of their personal life, footage of them in their houses, more tournement footage if the team during their off times. Not so much of people talking etc. However great 1st effort and this gives me more perspective into the players.

This was definitely a documentary for a more hardcoreish type of fan. Which is good! I really enjoyed that it appeared, although maybe not intentionally, to cater towards a more dedicated fan. I can see how people might be turned off by the amounts of interviews, but it had the opposite effect on me. I was really glued to my monitor watching it. For being free to the community, it was totally worth the wait and worth a watch.

Not sure what to think of it yet. Great production but it felt like a series of interviews. Really interesting because I learned a lot about the players but still not quite what I was expecting.

Awesome documentary! I wish there was more footage of the players doing things, instead of just faces in fixed interviews or gaming expressions (like the pool scene, the bbq scene, etc....still wondering what it's like from the TL perspective in traveling, meeting up to go to tournaments, after, discussing things after games, in the hotels, etc.)

Honestly, you could have made this "documentary" with just taking parts of interviews that were already done by hotbid, slasher, seltzer etc and mixing them together with 10x louder music.

summary of documentary: all liquid non korean players are super talented and can be best in the world
Favorite players: Stephano, Mana, Polt, Lucifron, Nerchio

Please... "When my father asked what i wanted to do in my future, i told him i wanted to film a Sc2-Team" That polemic, srsly?

And that didn't show in the movie too. It was fine and in some parts interesting. For example the keyboard on the lap thing from Sheth but overall just really things we already know. If you want to build the movie on interviews i would have liked a few investigative questions that are maybe not as comfortable to ask as the others. I don't want to believe that every TL player can be the best in the world, IF ...

Also i think a narrator (offvoice) would have been great, just tell a bit of history about TL and the players and search for old footage to underline that. That way, as many said, you could have inscenated the rise and fall of jinro for example. Cheering people, he smiling -> cheering people but for another one, he looking sad. Just a few impressions.

Just my 2 cents. Overall good performance, since i think it's more like a hobby of yours to make movies.

It was ok, but not more..

There were some interesting facts, but it felt like 99% interviews (most of which we already know) one after another.

The sound levels were also REALLY bad, i had to change constantly, music too loud, then voices not loud enough..

overall: Meh

I agree i was constantly having to turn down the music every 5 mins cos it was too loud compared to the interviews...

Interesting question about age and response from jinro. The implications of his point of not wanting to be 40 playing with 20 year olds is odd. Speaks volumes about esport in its early stages. While some sucum to such societarian pressure that games are for kids, white ra is now more important than ever. He is TrueLy like George Washington where he set the standard of two-terms before the laws were written. Whatever age white-ra will be when he quits, hopefully 100 he is setting the model for the scene. For this community to thrive beyond the borders; the demographic must expand beyond 14-20 year olds, and continue to grow. Team Liquid members are now more responsible to the longevity of exports and to continue to play, until they end up like TLO after a streaming marathon. It's only until this will the maturity grow and the exports scene flourish beyond today's TL. I'm headed for the high thread on this one.
