The one that got away.

Greetings TL D3 community,

I feel that questions about this thread can be answered with a short true story, but be warned, it does not end well...

While searching for a new set of shoulders for my Demon Hunter, I stumbled up these:

320 Armor
140 Dex
70 All Resist
20% Gold Find
12% Magic Find
(maybe another stat, good god I don't want to think about it right now)

While I know that the armor is low, the other stats are quite a solid combo for someone who derps around a lot in Act I Inferno, and who doesn't love gold and magic find right? The real kicker was the price: a mere 900,000 gold.

Anyway I somehow talked myself out of buying them thinking it was a lateral move since my current shoulders have vitality, dex, and all resist with magic find, albeit in smaller amounts, plus they have more armor. I changed my mind about this some 5 minutes later, and of course they were not there when I returned.

I challenge anyone to find something comparable that does not cost many many millions of golds (or a sizeable amount of real money).

So there you have it, the one that got away. Please feel free to share your own tale of sadness and woe, no positive energy here, we don't want to hear about your success, just those items that you could have had, or did have but were sold on the cheap, only to find that they were worth so much more.

Saw rare pants on the AH yesterday.

140 vita, 70 allres, around 600 armor, magic find, gold find and 2 sockets.

For 99k buyout.

When i tried to buy it they were gone... FML.

Yeah about the auctions..I wish there was something like an "add to shopping cart" option that you can add stuff to to compare later. Kinda irritating to screenshot an items and compare them, especially if the items are a real steal....thats when they get away.

20 mill amulet with 50%+ crit dmg, 6% crit, 14% attack speed (pre patch), 100 int, 100 vit, +wpn dmg too I believe.

I somehow thought this was a thread about treasure goblins too

Anyways, I have missed several good items on the (EU) AH already.

Last one I missed was an offhand source for wizard for 1.2 mil
92-382 Damage
+87 Int
+82 Vit
+8.5% Crit
+4% Damage vs. Elites
+192 hp/sec
