I never really think that this style main can work unless there are more paths than just the center route, aka backdoors or side pathways. The problem is that the map just becomes a split-map and turtle scenario because the expansions are not vulnerable if you control the center vision (excluding drops, mutas, etc.). The best option here imo is make the maps ALL the way up against the map border and stretch them out. That way they don't cut into the center very much.

i know nothing at all about maps, but i really like the fact that the mains aren't on the edge, or i guess, that the mains have expansions behind them. i can see why it would cause problems though, and if those two say it wont work them i would listen to them, since they actually know what they are talking about. hope you find a way to make it work though, without changing it too much.
can you siege the mains mineral line from the back? if you can, look at the pathing for some1 who want to take down the tanks..... pretty darn long... Other than that LIKE ^^
