I dont know if this is considerd a spam thread, or too trivial. (but ill give it a chance)
For me its relevant atleast, because thats what made me play starcraft in the firstplace.
The good times, the epic moments.
So heres my Epic moment.
I remember playing against a guy i knew was going 4 base high tech, and he was gonna make a massive air army.
I spendt just about all my resources on spore-crawlers and a few spine-crawlers just to be sure.. this wasnt much of a high stake game, both of us were fairly noobish..
But i put up a solid 360 degree wall around my base with many rows of spore-crawlers, and in the center a few spines.
He soon attacks me with a large group of carriers and some few ground forces..
After a chaos of missiles flying through the air, with all the interceptors flocking around the screen, like bees.. my last spine crawler kills the last Zealot.
As it happens i've lost all my drones, and im out of minerals (big dodo)
But it appears its the same for him, he is out of minerals too, and he sends 16 workers, to attack my last already dieing spinecrawler..
While i have to sit there ripping my hair out, watching the spine work intensely to stay alive, while the probes litherally pokes it to death.. and he finishes my HQ with only 5 workers in the end.
I thought that was a funny way to end a game

| I was having trouble completing the final Wings of Liberty mission on Brutal and then one night I sat down and told myself that I was going to play it until I was able to complete the mission. I remember in the beta when I first tried out infestors, a Terran kept sending Marines through the choke on Desert Oasis and me fungaling them over and over from the high ground. I remember one infestor having like 100+ kills .
Not the most epic thing, but it was funny at the time  . |

Killing a group of scvs that were dragged away with a shuttle reaver drop for the first time, seconds before the shuttle dies to a goliath. Then pushing the front with dragoons and zealots and using the reaver to kill tanks coming down the ramp, winning me the game.
Oh wait wrong game.
Winning a game against zerg that had only banelings / zerglings with pure marine medivac micro after he broke down my natural and forced me to lift and turtle in my base. I dropped in his based with 3 medivacs of marines as 1-0 finished and microed across his whole base, felt great winning a game on just micro. |

Early cannon rush main hatch goes down on ohana one drone snuck out luckily i was saving minerals to expand at the time, throw down a new hatch on the left center location w/ about 12 drones, i start massing lings, eventually get past his forge block on his natural ramp and clean him out.

I had just switched to Terran from Zerg in Masters and my Micro, BOs, and macro were all completely terrible. I had lost the game but the Zerg would never finish me off. He had like 5 bases and maxed out on Brood/Festor a good 10+ Full energy Infestors. I decided in a last chance move I'd attempt nukes.
I nuked his 4th and in the middle of the map where he always moved his army to. After cleaning the Ghost up at the 4th he tells his army to move to that spot. Only the Infestors were fast enough to make it back before the nuke fell. When all the Infestors died I just stimmed in my Marines wiped his tech and expansions and won. Was the most amazing feeling I've had since I started Sc2.

| 3 base me (terran) against a 6 base zerg... He tried to kill me with his BL infestor zergling, but my marine/tank/medivac micro was so good that I held off against max after max after max, and somehow won that game. My marines just didnt die and couldn't be stopped by whatever army he mustered. I played so well that no fungal ever hit more than 5 marines, and no banelings ever hit a marine (in the lategame, that is). And this was a person who is so much better than me, and I constantly strove to beat him. I never could, so he bet money that he would win this next one. I don't know how I won. But it was the best feeling ever. |

It was back in diamond, TvZ before the Snipe nerf, Barracks nerf, etc.
He tried to kill me with Ultra/Ling, I almost died but I barely held on with some Ghosts and Medivacs. I then proceeded to go with my Marine/Ghost/Medivac and drop his expansions and just constantly snipe everything he tried to throw at me. Doesn't sound that awesome, but it felt great.
At the end I was attacking a far-flung expansion with 10 or so Ghosts against his desperation Banelings without speed. I split and sniped. |

| i beat a top lvl diamond protoss with this new funny build i've been working on for while searching answers on how to deal with tvp mid-late game and won and he was favored to win. I'm only top plat too =D |

TvT on Shakuras,2-3 months ago,almost 90 minutes long,it was kinda crazy.It started with marine battles,then i switched to tanks and i had a good siege line outside of his natural,he comes with ghosts,nukes most of my army,then i make ghosts and nuke my own army and some of his tanks,then we go sky terran...vikings,BCs and ravens everywhere,we base trade,mine almost all the bases and then i just maek marines and kill his BCs...yeah!!!

I won a 3,5 hours long FFA game, which lasted with about 25 total units on the map during the last hour (including burrowed infestors who made me won), and for which every single infested terran was a priceless asset.
Was very long, and very pleasant to have to challenge myself in a extremely different way that all the 1v1 go (I'm masters on 1v1)
Edit : I submitted the game to HDGamer but it never got casted (and I didn't find out how to send replays to huskys). The game was never casted but is still probably on my drive, if anyone wants to cast this crazy thing.Last edit: 2012-06-26 18:25:53 |
